Happy 7th birthday to Ace! When I picked up this boy 7 years ago, I had no idea the incredible journey I was in for.
When I was young and eager to train my new puppy, Ace showed me patience while we both figured out our groove and what I was supposed to be doing.
When I was nervous for my first show, Ace showed me confidence. Not once did he make a wrong move and trotted around the ring just like we did in practice.
When I had a rough day, Ace would always be there with a great big smile to cheer me up
When life got to much for me to bear, Ace stepped in so I didn’t have to go through it alone. There is no amount of thanks I could say to this dog for saving me time and time again.
When I was determined to qualify for AKC nationals, Ace guided me to over 5 Best juniors and major class wins at some of the biggest shows that year. He taught me to be humble when someone had a white fluffy bitch in front of us in the ring order😂
When the new dogs came in to fill his spot in the conformation ring, Ace graciously stepped down and show me the world outside of conformation.
This dog has been my guide, my partner, my rock, for almost half of my life and every single year is bitter sweet. I remember all the good times we’ve had, everything we’ve gotten through and accomplished. But as his face turns grey and his puppy s***k fades, I can’t help but think about times when I’ll have to go on without him. I am so thankful for the time I get with this dog, so here’s to many more years of adventures and moments to cherish. I love you so much silly boy!
