This guy came out during the day!! I love seeing it! Look how metallic his head looks when the light hits it. I know not everyone likes spiders but I just think they’re so dang cool!
WARNING: SNAKE FEEDING
A perfect example of the affects of a neurological disorder common amongst the spider morph of ball pythons. This is a minor wobble where basically the snake has difficulty managing the direction and angle of its head. This little guys wobble is no where near as severe as some but you can see how this, in serious cases can cause bad issues for a snake, especially one being fed live food. Had this been a live rat and he missed it, the rat could have attacked in self defense and seriously injured him. Thankfully he has no issues with frozen thawed as you can see and this beautiful boy has never missed a meal. But this is why I do not support the breeding of the spider gene.
I have never, in all my time working with dragons, seen a bearded dragon so upset with everything. When we started the day, she was furious with her reflection so I moved her into a tub instead of a tank to get rid of the reflection. Now she is attacking her hides. Has she ever experienced hides like this before?? Guess we gotta change the hides now too.
We love fish too here at the rescue and these girls are a prime example as to why female betas make equally as amazing pets as males! Girl betas can be kept in groups called sororities so you can have these vibrant beautiful fish in a large variety of colors and tail types. When you find them in pet stores they are often pale with tiny fins because of the poor water quality, but once they’re in a perfectly cycled tank and kept healthy, they bloom into beautiful ladies!
Notice the odd angle of her spine and front legs and then the shaking in the back legs? These are side affects of MBD caused by lack of proper lighting and supplements. Please, do your own research by speaking to experienced keepers which can easily be accessed VIA Facebook groups specified for each exotic animal. Do not depend on Google, chain pet stores, or a single YouTube video and consider yourself prepared.
There is no such thing as a “beginner reptile”. They all have special needs and care requirements.
The mighty little huntress devouring her breakfast. Haha the little leo is putting on weight and becoming more noticeably active. You can even see where she’s getting to her water and her calcium powder which is such a good sign. So pleased with her progress! She should be ready for adoption very soon!
Oh my gosh this cracked me up!! That smile before she lunged haha
This lady has FINALLY been claimed and will soon be going to her forever home and we could not be more excited for it. She is going to be in the best place with an experienced Tokay keeper! We are so happy!
