Minnie and Lily have had some fun the past few days. Minnie loves basking in the sun and Lily is so good at making sure I get up from my desk and take breaks! And they are excellent pinochle players!

Another fun day with sweet girls Minnie and Lily! Lily is literally a sweetheart...see the mark on her back (the tan). Minnie has the fastest tail ever and gets so excited whenever you walk back in a room. They are both excellent at Play 9 and came is 2nd. Bet they would have won if they weren't paired up with me

Lily and Minnie are such sweet girls!! They love soaking up the sun, especially Minnie. Thier tails are always wagging and love to give kisses, especially Lily! They are get coworkers too!!

We had so much fun with Lily today. She loves running around in the rain. But before the rain enjoyed relaxing and playing outside. Topped the day off with a nice car ride!!

Well yesterday it was Lily 1 toy 0. Got a better aggressive chewers toy. We are now at Lily1 Toy 1. Lily had a few good walks and lots of play time in the yard.

So the packaging on the toy said nearly indestructible...for aggressive chewers. Dogs can bite through the fabric covering to find the nearly indestructible toy. Well Lily 1 - toy 0.

Maximus doesn’t really like to get his ears, eyes and face cleaned but is always so very happy after it is done and he gets his treat! He is such a sweet boy!!

YOUR Humane Society SPCA Partners with BISSELL Pet Foundation for Summer National ™

Lake Panasoffkee, FL (07/05/2024)— , a national animal welfare organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness, is prompting a national call for adoption once again this spring with its Empty the Shelters reduced-fee adoption event July 8-31. YOUR Humane Society SPCA will participate along with more than 390 shelters in 44 states. To help deserving shelter pets find loving homes, BISSELL Pet Foundation sponsors reduced adoption fees of $50 or less per cat or dog during each nationwide event.
YOUR Humane Society SPCA will be participating:
• Offering $25 per eligible dogs, cats, kittens and puppies from July 8-31 at their shelter at 994 CR 529A, Lake Panasoffkee, FL and at both offsite adoption partner venues: PetSmart at 3667 Wedgewood Lane and Petsense at 1088 Canal St., both in The Villages, FL 32162.

“Shelters are struggling with a variety of challenges right now - some are evacuating pets because of wildfires, tornadoes, or even loss of air conditioning in extreme heat, and others are overcrowded and having to euthanize highly adoptable pets to make space, a tragic situation," said Cathy Bissell, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. "BISSELL Pet Foundation's upcoming Summer National Empty the Shelters event is a crucial opportunity for people to make a real difference in their community through adoption. Every single adoption saves a life and creates space to save another. Please adopt and give a pet a chance it might otherwise not have. YOUR Humane Society SPCA’s Shelter Operations Manager, Lily Vallejo, added that “participating in at least a dozen Empty the Shelters events have allowed us to save and adopt even more animals across our community. Programs such as BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters provide savings to adopters and make a doubly effective lifesaving impact by placing a wonderful pet with a family and opens a space at our shelter so we can take in another who needs us. We look forward to seeing how many more will find happiness in this Summer’s National Adoption Event!”

YOUR Humane Society SPCA placed 17 cats and kittens plus 5 dogs and puppies at the last Spring National Empty the Shelters event with the help of their $25 reduced adoption fees. This summer’s event will have many adoptable dogs, cats, kittens and puppies ready to meet interested families who will also be available for only $25 each.

BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event is the largest funded adoption event in the country. This lifesaving event began in 2016 with a goal of encouraging more families to choose adoption. More than 253,000 pets have found loving homes since its inception. Empty the Shelters is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s largest program, partnering with 742 animal welfare organizations in 49 states and Canada to reduce adoption fees.

Maximus didn't want to get up this morning..he also enjoyed spreading put his food again but this time he cleaned ot all up!! He is such a sweet boy!

So I was a few minutes late getting Maximus his dinner...typical teenager look from this 13 year old. Then I made it up to him with a nice golf cart ride!
