New Skill Wednesday

Did you know herbs aren’t the only thing for seasoning you can make at home? Onion powder is super simple to make and a great way to use up the scraps. Here’s a step by step of how to make it yourself:

1. Wash and dry your onion scraps (skins included)

2. Dehydrate the scraps until crispy (you can use a dehydrator or oven for this)

3. Crumble the dehydrated scraps (you can use a food processor, by hand, or with a mortar and pestle)

4. Blend the scraps till they are a fine powder ( you can use a food processor, blender or even coffee grinder for this)

5. Store in an air tight container in a cool dry place.

And there you have it! Your very own onion powder without any kind of adding ingredients ❤️
