We really need your help

We are so grateful for the $3,700 raised from our online auction — thank you!! That money is going toward improving the inside of our dog rescue building, so the pups have a more comfortable and safe space while they wait for their forever homes.

But now we’re in a tough spot.

Mawi needs surgery, and while we’ve raised $600 so far, we still have a long way to go. If we can’t raise the rest, we’ll have to put the building renovations on hold again.

On top of that, we’ll need to purchase another pallet of dog food in the next week or two. We’re doing our best to provide for every dog in our care, but the costs are piling up quickly.

We’re hopeful that this year we’ll be accepted for some grants and find businesses to help support us — but right now, we need you.

Here’s how you can help:
From now until the end of the month, for every $10 donated, your name will be entered into a raffle! We’ll draw a name for every $300 raised, and we still have some amazing items left to give away! We have 8,000 supporters—$10 per person = $80,000! Can we do it???

Thank you for taking the calls that would devastate and destroy other people to see; For being the ones that hold and calm the abandon when theyve all but given up hope. For cleaning up the injured and abused, for sitting and petting them while they take their last breaths. Thank you for being strong enough to stand up for the animals who haven’t been able to stand up for themselves. Thank you for protecting the community and keeping them safe, when the pet owners have failed to do so. Thank you for advocating for the voiceless, educating the ignorant and being a resource so the animals will have a better future. You are appreciated!!

Good morning!!! We have officially closed the auction! Thank you to everyone who participated! You will be charged for items and today I am working on getting all items boxed up to ship out! We will start the day with great news in hopes we continue to give great news all day!! Look who found his furever home finally!! Tucker arrived with a sibling a year ago in awful shape when found dumped on a country road. Tucker, we are so thankful you found your furever home!!! This family met Tucker a few weeks ago and came back yesterday to get him! ❤️❤️ Tucker was Leroys bestie so we hope Leroy finds his home next. 🙏🙏

It’s hard to believe our intake has been shut down for this long. What’s even harder is seeing the same amazing dogs still waiting—some for over a year—for someone to finally notice them. We want so badly to help the dogs still out there in need, but we simply can’t without adopters stepping up.

Shelters and rescues don’t run on unlimited space or resources—they run on compassion, community, and people willing to open their homes. Every single dog has a story. Every one of them is worthy of love and a chance at a family. So why does it take flashy marketing campaigns to get some dogs noticed, while others—often just as sweet, smart, and deserving—wait and wait?

It’s heartbreaking to watch dogs passed over because they’re not the “right” breed, size, age, or look. It shouldn’t come down to how fluffy or photogenic they are. These lives matter—every single one.

The hardest part of rescue isn’t the long hours or the hard work. It’s having to say, “I’m so sorry, we can’t help right now.” It’s knowing there’s a dog out there who needs you, and having no choice but to turn away. And that kind of heartbreak doesn’t get easier.

So how do we change this?
How do we get people to truly see the value of a dog’s life?

Maybe we keep telling their stories. Maybe we help people look past the surface and into their hearts. Maybe we remind the world that rescue isn’t just about saving animals—it’s about changing lives, including our own.

And maybe, in the moments we feel broken from it all, we hold on to the hope that the right person is still out there. That the next yes will come. And that the love we pour into this work—into them—matters more than we’ll ever fully know.

Mawi Says Hello!
We’ve raised $125 of the $1,000 needed for Mawi’s much-needed surgery, scheduled for April 23rd—we’re on our way, but we still need your help!

Mawi came to us in rough shape, weighing just 10 pounds. Today, he’s up to 16.2 pounds, and his fur is already growing back—proof that love, care, and a safe environment can make all the difference. We’re not doing anything fancy—just giving him the care and kindness every animal deserves.
