A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
My love of animals began early in my life when my sister and I would go out to our aunt and uncle’s farm and help take care of the chickens, pigs, cows, and horses. We also got to go on many horse-pack camping trips during summer vacations where we’d fish and hike and see lots of other types of animals like deer, salamanders, frogs, and foxes.
But it was when I started vol
unteering at Denver Zoo that my passion for animals, nature and conservation went to the next level. I began working as a keeper assistant in the pachyderm building helping zookeepers with diets and cleaning exhibits for black rhinos and hippos. This gave me a respect and intimate understanding of the larger animals we have on our planet. It was through my conversations with guests, friends, and co-workers outside of the zoo, that I began my pet sitting journey. It took one request from a friend to care for their dogs over a weekend and I ended up being booked every weekend after that. It started mostly with dogs and cats but quickly expanded to rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, snakes and birds to diversify my knowledge and experience.
I’ve been pet sitting for over 20 years and keeping my client’s trust has been extremely important. I love getting to know their fur babies’ personalities and what makes them each unique. Please, know that your animals are safe and cared for while I am with them.
