Lots of work going into the infrastructure on our micro homestead!

Shaded hoop houses have been erected for our rabbits and chickens. We are also adding a misting system to help with the hot Texas days!

We also added some raised garden beds to one side of the garden and added shade cloths to the full garden.

Still have tons to do but this is a great start!

Iris Acres was happy to provide fertilized eggs to the Life Skills Class at Three Rivers ISD!

The students were able to study the life cycle of a chicken. Of the 24 eggs, 18 have hatched so far. These eggs have been incubating for 23 days!
