Sebastian is getting some supervised out of his room time. Some of the other kitties have joined him for a nice nap.

Sebastian’s follow up was good. He’s doing much better. He just has to stay locked up for four more weeks unless he’s getting supervised time like today.

Just another quick quick update on Sebastian. He was very grumpy this morning until he got all his pain medication and some food but otherwise he seems to be doing ok

Sebastian is home and got his cone off long enough to eat and then it went back on and he tried to eat some more. That said he did very well. He goes back in two weeks then he goes back six weeks after that for x-rays.

Doctor said he should make a full recovery and we just have to make sure we keep him locked up for at least two weeks and anytime after that over the next six or a total of eight has to be supervised. 

The big bonus was when the doctor opened him up. The injuries were not as severe as she thought and she was able to do the cheaper of the two surgeries I was quoted so the surgery bill instead of being 6600 is a little over 4300.

Spend some time rearranging two rooms so that Sebastian can have a place to recover for the next 8 to 12 weeks after his surgery Tuesday. Basically had to remove as much as possible to keep him from jumping up and down.

So a big update on Sebastian. He went from his normal vet to the emergency vet for a CT Scan.

Once there we got lucky if you could call it that and their orthopedic person was free and was able to examine Sebastian, which saved us the $2000 the CT was going to cost but cost about $500 for another x-ray and full examination.

The verdict on why he was not healing up, is he needs surgery as he torn a ligament in his knee and that cost $6608 to $7710 esited after we got the estimate from the vet.

As we love him we are moving forward and he will have surgery tomorrow.

We are thinking about starting a GOFUNME as Veterinary Expenses have gotten crazy.

Sebastian has his follow up this morning and he is not improving as fast as he should be so he is back at the ER vet for a CT scan the normal vet is worried he might have a fracture in the small bone that hold the Achilles tendon.

Sebastian Update:
Vet said it looks like a sprain or muscle pull as all the test come back looking good and the X-rays show healthy bones and joints.

He will be on meds for a few days, needs observation for 24 hours and will follow up if not getting better by Saturday

Poor Sebastian is having some sudden rear right leg issues and a few other things. He is not happy as he normally only sees a vet once a year.

Pinto wanted to see the snow.

So Pinto does have an ear infection but the vet said it was mild and so he got an ear cleaning and medication.

Grayson is in good shape for his age and both of the boys got their shots.

As a reward they got the cat safe cup from Starbucks as a reward.
