My little mare with the huge personality! She was so funny yesterday. She came out of her stall like a pistol, walked into the main barn demanding a cookie for “being good”. Of course she did not receive one for walking to barn. But she rode really well, after some play time on the longe line. After…she absolutely got two cookies. Then she was content. I’ve truly never seen a horse “work for food” before. Just two little cookies is her price! 🤣
Today she is a snow pony! Thank you Manon for the pics. Hope she was good and got her paycheck of cookies. 😜🤩
And I think she would totally pull y’all on the sleds if you could explain it to her…🛷❄️☃️

Big things are planned for La Losa and Stari Nite, but that means hard decisions had to be made. We are offering our special girl, Spook N Jessie to the right program. We absolutely want the best for her. She was a fierce competitor (my green Reiner for many years, as well as, an open derby entry for us) and now an amazing mama. She is young and healthy enough to carry several more foals. But as technology improves, there is big potential for many many babies to come. Please contact Mathieu for details on the options we have available at this time.

Last dry day…🤠my timing is getting better, her delay is getting shorter. Good girl Lilou! (She totally took care of me on this stop. It was the last one and I was tired!) Love my team! This is fun stuff 🤩

She is moved into the house! No complaints until I forgot her breakfast this morning. 😼

Unfortunately the mice also moved in…to the barn. Funny how fast they showed up! I’ll be glad when this cold snap passes and Momma is back on barn patrol 😽👮

1. Nail the shutoff after the turn.
2. Conrol my leg position in the circle. No more oops, she changed.
3. Trust her on my run downs!

I tried to bend over this morning and could barely do it. It’s been run, run, run for so many days now, I haven’t taken any time to stretch. I did now…and feel so much better!

It is too late to order this curry comb for an X-mas arrival, but I still recommend you get these for your horses. They will thank you for it! And maybe take time to do some stretching for them as well. Remember: take it low and slow to start…
