We currently raise proven Border Collies, Miniature American Shepherds and occasionally English Setters. First Harmony Farms raises Border Collies, Miniature American Shepherds, and English Setters. We are a small, family owned business located in Tiskilwa, IL. We do not have business hours, but do allow people to come and visit the dogs and puppies by appointment. We love doing sports with our do

gs and compete in flyball, agility, disc, dock diving, trick dog, obedience, and rally. We also have some dogs that do herding, hunting, and conformation with other people. We do have a waiting list for our puppies and application process, both of which are listed on our website. Health testing results, pedigrees, titles, and details about each litter are at firstharmonyfarms.com We try to check emails and messages once a week, but fall behind anytime near picking. Cute puppy pics means we get a ton of requests. The website will answer most questions about the puppies, wait lists, and parents. Phone calls are the best way to catch us in person with any additional questions.

I am getting a lot of calls looking for puppies so I thought I would do a quick update here. The only puppies currently available are English Setters. We do not have any Border Collie puppies but are taking deposits for the litters due in Oct/Nov now. We do not have any MAS puppies available but are taking deposits for the litters due in Sept and Oct/Nov. Journey X Martial puppies are expected early September! This will be Journey's last litter and Martial's first. Their websites are a bit outdated, but I will get both parent's sites updated the next few weeks and a pedigree posted. Puppies should make great pet, therapy, junior handler, and sport prospects. Mid-larger in size, medium drive. These puppies will be keeping their tails and front dewclaws. Pending what she gives us, I may be looking for a co-owner for a puppy from this litter.

Gotta LOVE this weather. Today was a last minute decision to fit in box work, disc, power jumping, dock diving, pool party, and field fun. Every dog got at least 1 turn and some had 8. 6 people, 21 dogs, 68 lessons, lots of exercise and a ton of pics. Put a fork in me, I am done.

Our resident cheerleader was in the last sets of pictures from this summer. At 15.5 years old, Shiver doesn't get to play near enough anymore and quit competing when COVID hit which she strongly objected to since she never really got retirement runs. She will still play disc for hours on the stairs and no one sits down in our house without her handing them a toy to throw. She still lives for the pool, even if she only goes off the ramp now. Although she would still willing jump off the dock and has a few times this year when she snuck in the pool on her own. She is great for helping to train the young dogs with distractions, which is why she is in so many of our training photos in the background just running loose or barking at running dogs with a toy in her mouth. She still loves playing with toys, walks, and traveling short distances. Unfortunately, I don't think she will live to 17 like Digit. She has been very picky about eating the past few months and has gotten very skinny despite all the extras. She can still jump on and off the couch and do stairs, but is starting to show some weakness and gets knocked down more and can struggle getting up on slicker floors. It is so sad to see their bodies age when they still have all the heart of a puppy. You never know which training session is your last and which picture may be the last. I know she has touched many people and her babies, grandbabies, and great grandbabies are in many of your households. Hug your babies tight as 15 years goes way too fast.

No-how is available for a pet or sport home. She is a medium sized, medium drive girl. She is a fun, super social girl with people. She loves toys and loves to play ball when the other dogs are not a distraction that will chase her for the toy. She plays tug but prefers to retrieve toys. She is confident and fun with the other dogs and people. She is house training really well and working on her basic manners. She knows she shouldn't steal the drinks and food off of the coffee table or couch but still wants to and would do it in a second if you turn your back. She is amazing at sitting for attention and is learning to wave, heel, and sit when you stop. She is very gentle with taking treats and will sit and wait for her turn. She can sleep in her kennel quietly. She is a smaller girl and I am guessing she will mature around 16" and 25 #. Her tail has been docked and dew claws removed. Fawkes has great food motivation. Sitting for food is easy when somebody is standing up, but much harder when the treats are close.

Fawkes loves his tug, toys, and loves all other dogs. He has not had perfect focus on tug at class, preferring to run around and be a socialite and greet all the other people and dogs. so this week Tara worked on focus on tug with a bunch of dogs around and in new locations. He definitely seems to have it down now. he still loves to greet all people and meet all new dogs, but we focus on toys and his person when actively playing or training.
