You may have seen this post from our MSPCA Lost and Found Pets page about a husky found in North Conway, NH and brought to our MSPCA Boston adoption center over the weekend. This situation is a perfect example of the tricky circumstances our staff navigate on a daily basis. We didn't expect an interstate traveler showing up on our doorstep, but she found a soft place to land in our care. Our main goal of sharing this information is to reunite this dog with her family. She is clearly well cared for and friendly, someone must be missing her.

Ideally this dog would have stayed close to the North Conway area where she was found but since she is here now, we are caring for her and putting our efforts into getting the word out about her to as many places as possible. We've been in touch with the Conway animal control officer as well as the folks at Granite State Dog Recovery. Now this is where you come in! Please help share this post far and wide so her family will see she's safe. Also remember that animals are most likely to be reunited with their families if they stay close to where they are found. If you find a lost animal, contact the town's animal control or police department, and utilize the resources of your local shelters where their owners are most likely to go looking for them. It takes a village to help animals and we're counting on our New England followers to help her make her way home.
