Meet the festival headliner!! Philly-Jersey based hip hop duo sensation Kuf Knotz & Christine Elise are making the 2nd Annual Back to School Culture Fest a stop on their National tour a week from today, next Saturday, 9-16-23!

KÜF KNOTZ is a Songwriter, Producer, & MC named Philadelphia Magazine’s Best Rapper of 2022. Kuf Knotz blends hiphop poetry with soul & Lo-Fi 90's era beats. His musical style focuses on spirituality, unity, positivity & creativity. He has a degree in video production from the Art Institute of Philadelphia & in 2008, he opened for Bruce Springsteen & sang lead vocals on “Unstoppable,” a song marking the Phillies World Series win. In 2010, his song “Boombox Logic,” was named best hip hop song by the Independent Music Awards. His on-screen credits include a part on “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia,” as well as a cast member in a music-based reality show. He has also opened for The Roots, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Common, Wyclef Jean, The Wailers, Arrested Development, G-Love, Quest Love & many others.

Christine Gallagher, MA, MT-BC, LMT, LPC “Christine Elise” is a classically trained harpist, pianist, & vocalist. She has facilitated community music therapy projects in US, South Africa, Peru, & Jamaica; & presented at national, regional, & world music therapy conferences. She taught undergrads & grads as an adjunct professor for the music therapy department of Immaculata University College of Graduate Studies & Boyer College of Music & Dance of Temple University. She also composed for The Free Project Series, for Pennsylvania Humanities Council, What Does Freedom Mean to Me? as part of the The Dedication of the Commemorative to Enslaved Peoples of Southern Maryland for St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Together Kuf Knotz & Christine Elise’s music has a mission of unity & healing. In 2018, they founded a community music therapy outreach performance project, Higher Grounds Music, & have recorded 3 albums: “Higher Grounds,” (2018), “kƏ’myo ōnƏdē,” (2021) "Hypnagogia” (TBA). They have performed in CO including the Aggie, Black Sheep, the Gothic, & COS Juneteenth 2021.
