Bodie was selected to participate in the healthy cat study. I sent his DNA sample in about a month ago and got his report last night.
Most important is that he does appear to be a very healthy boy! Of the 42 health markers reported so far, he is negative for genetic markers associated with those diseases. Eventually, over 100 health markers should be reported.
I am not really surprised by his breed analysis. I suspected he had some Maine C**n in him! It's interesting to see the breakdown of everything else.
The report is super detailed and full of so much information.
It's nearly 70 pages long already! I'm excited to see what else I'll learn as additional data becomes available. ∞ I'm definitely planning to do a test on Bear to find out more about him!

Pinecone is going home! Tiny-Piny was one of my favorite fosters. He's a funny little guy and definitely one of the most adorable kittens I've ever seen. He's going to bring so many smiles to his new family. Congrats, Pinecone!
