Had a visitor last night. Another rattle snake was in the chicken coop. Haven't had snakes since we erraticated our rodent issue. It was trying to get our baby chicks, but luckily we built it like fort knocks.

New member to the farm. Meet poppy! She is actually peppers mother and we were able to work it out to have her. She is in milk as well.

When we first moved to the desert 15 years ago, we loved to garden and growing our own vegetables. Back east we gardened, but here in the desert is so different. We moved to an hoa and had an amazing 14ft by 12ft garden. We grew all sorts of vegetables without any rabbit or other critter interfere.

We moved out of an hoa area a few years ago and own acreage now. We expected to have an even bigger garden, but we lost to rabbits, gofers, ground hogs, squirrels and mother nature wiped out crops. I read from roots and refuge about these containers for gardening. Well, we used them and plants are growing amazingly. We have corn, peppers, tomatoes, seasoning plants, cantalope and beans. We shall see how much fruit and vegetables we can get!
