February Pack Walk schedule is up. Thank you to everyone that made it to the last one, it was so good to see all of you! The rest of the February walks will be held at Porter Way Park in Stansbury. This is FREE and everyone is welcome! This is a great place to exercises and practice with your pup in a controlled environment.

The air quality is terrible, so this time will be a short walk. Once the air gets better, we’ll start doing longer walks.

Hi everyone! We will be holding free pack walks about once a week. This is not a group class or training of any kind. We will just be walking together for about 35 minutes.
Everyone is welcome! This time we will be meeting this Sunday the 5th at Parker's Park in Tooele at 12:30.
**There will be no dog to dog greetings and leashes/muzzles/gear etc. must be secure at all times.
Please give everyone at least 6-12ft of space.
If any trainers would like to invite their clients to practice together, you are more than welcome to do that!

Don’t walk your dog off leash until their recall is solid. Just because your dog is friendly and likes socializing with other dogs, doesn’t mean every dog is like that. Unfriendly or reactive dogs and their owners deserve to enjoy the outdoors just like you and your dog, without the worry of strange dogs running up to them. It’s rude. It’s really dangerous. You could be setting back, or ruining someone’s hard work and training by allowing your dog to rush them. I’m all for off leash dogs, but you and your dog have to earn that!

We have all been seeing the multiple, daily, dog rehoming posts, and the lost dog posts. We've also seen the shelters are overflowing posts.
I know a lot of people get new dogs and puppies over the holidays. SO. Give the gift of dog training, this year!
My goal as a dog trainer is to help keep dogs happily home, out of shelters, and from being passed from home to home. I would really love to help as many dogs and their people as I can.

I have such a hard time mentally during the cold months, to get my dogs outside. I’m missing the warm weather so I put a reel together of a few of our sunny, outdoor adventures from summer and fall. Anyone else missing the sun!?

I have a great opportunity this month for the Off leash Freedom Package! Finally have an opening for new clients, so lets get your dog ready to enjoy the holiday season with you and your family!
It includes:
-Off leash reliability (Sit/stays, Down/stays, walking with you without a leash, off leash recall, work on problem behaviors)
-I do all the main foundation training for you! Then, I will teach you how to maintain and advance the training.
-Over the course of 2-3 weeks (depends on how quickly your dog progresses) Monday-Friday, I pick up your pup to train, then drop them back off at home.
-3 lessons with you to reinforce communication between you and your dog with everything I teach them
-Phone support for life
-Professional E-Collar
Your dog must be at least 6 months or older.

This is one of the locations we hold Dog Camp! Pups are picked up from their house, we go run, play, hike together in a pack, practice commands, and car manners for two hours. Then everyone gets dropped off back at home feeling fulfilled and tired!
For a limited time, we have opened up enrollment, so now is a great time to get your dog in! Msg us for more info!

Dog camp enrollment is open again!
This is a great alternative to doggy daycare.

We work on impulse control and basic commands, while exploring, running and playing on 300 acres of private property. Your dog gets to burn mental and physical energy while enjoying being a dog.
What does that mean for you? You get to live with a fulfilled, well balanced, happy, calm dog! This is only for dogs over 1 year old, with basic obedience, off leash reliable and/or well behaved on leash. Must be friendly with other dogs.

Last night was grad night for our Puppy Campers! They all passed/graduated and Ozzy, Molly, Summer and Oakley earned their first AKC Title! I’m so grateful I got to meet all these sweet pups and their families. They brought me so much joy every week. Now they’re off to do
big dog things, I can’t wait to watch them grow!

**Stay tuned for some fun holiday drop in classes for pups of all ages and even more group classes starting in January!**

I’m all for off leash hikes, it’s one of my favorite things I do with my personal dogs. (And other people’s dogs, which is why I run Dog Camp twice a week 😅) But please! Please don’t let your dog off leash without a reliable recall. It is never appropriate to allow your dog to run up to a dog or people you don’t know. When you do go to places off leash that you could possibly run into someone, put a tab leash on so you can grab them quickly to get off to the side (only if your dog has reliable recall) or, let them drag a long line! Because, responsible owners with reactive, nervous dogs, deserve to enjoy our beautiful state too. Without being bombarded by strange dogs while their owner yells “It’s okay they’re friendly!” I’m sure you have a few stories like this, I sure do!

Oh puppies…Taki’s family’s biggest goal is that she’s able to just relax when they are ready to relax for the day or during meal times. Taki is a wild pup but she can relax too! It just a little takes time and patience!

I worked with a really tough dog today, completely emotionally and physically draining to work this dog. My finger got in the crossfire of his serious reactivity.
So right after, I took two of my dogs for a walk. Because I needed to clear my head. It was easy. They walked nicely right next to me the whole time, there were lots of crazy distractions. it was easy...but it wasn’t always like that.
These two have given me a run for my money plenty of times. Embarrassed me for barking or pulling on the leash, the little one snaps at people that get too close, 🤦🏽‍♀️ they’ve been naughty in the house, made me feel crazy... but today, they were easy. They were easy because I’ve put hours and hours of work with them.
So, what I’m saying is, that difficult dog that seems like a lost cause, like it will never get better. It will. You can’t compare the end of a journey to the beginning of another. That’s not fair. That difficult dog will turn into an easy dog. he’s just still at the beginning of his journey.

Taki is one of my cute day train pups! She is a wild puppy but so smart. Always ready to work as soon as I get to her house every morning. She’s working on walking nicely on leash, basics like sit/down, recall and relaxing/staying on her bed when her owner needs her to.

Mr. Moody has been doing my E-Collar Day Train package. So, I’ve been picking him up in the morning to get some solid training in. He has finally completed his training with me and tomorrow we have our last lesson with his Mom so I can teach her everything he has learned so she can transfer that over to their everyday life. Moody was super stubborn with his downs and auto sits, but we got over that. Now he is ready to go enjoy off-leash freedom with his Mom!
I’m going to miss my morning coffee and training with Moody, but very excited that he’s done so well! 🐾💕

Diamond Dog Pack has been very busy the past couple of months! We have officially changed our name to Activo K-Nine! I’m really excited about this change and we have big plans in the works moving forward that I can’t wait to share! (More on that later!)
Not only that but we have been sub-leasing a building where we’ve been having Puppy Camp and private lessons.
I really appreciate my family for supporting me. I’m happy with this current phase that I’m in and working hard for the next phase! It’s going to be awesome 🐾

Our last couple Puppy Camps have been so much fun! Its exciting to see the progression the puppies and their owners make in just a few short weeks. Our next class starts September 20th, I have room for about 1-2 more puppies in this one!
We work on Socialization, basics, teaching a calm mind as well as some of those not so fun puppy behaviors like jumping and chewing.

My babies graduated from puppy camp last night! Their owners worked so hard and they earned their Puppy S.T.A.R title from the American Kennel Club! Im sad I won’t see them every week but i’m really excited to watch them grow. I know these teams are going to do great things so keep your eye out for them!

Scout can be reactive to people. Especially if they get too close. We’ve worked hard to help him. In the video you can see his little nose working, which is exactly what we want! Lots of people have been walking, running, skateboarding past us. I have to be pretty aware of our surroundings to make sure people are respecting his space. I have failed at that at times. It takes time and lots of repetitions for him to trust that I’ll protect his space so he doesn’t have to. Having a reactive dog can be frustrating but you’re not alone! Even trainers have challenging dogs sometimes.
