Here's your behind the scenes for the week!

There is quite literally thousands of deer forms to choose from, and they are 100% NOT one size fits all! Deer in different areas have different facial structure, a deer from Maryland will look much different in the face compared to a Pennsylvania deer. And then their face changes as they age... there lies the problem!

I have a nice looking form but the head is not ideal for this buck in question. Perhaps it was modeled for a different state or age (or both) but you can order plain heads from artists to customize your piece. I just swap the heads and, hopefully, the mount will match the animal.

Notice the muzzle and "eyebrow" areas.

We are still open and going strong through the season! I can handle all kinds of critters, including pheasants and canines! Of course, I can mount your buck too in a variety of poses.

I'll admit I struggled to find a form that was a perfect fit for this big guy, but he sure turned out nice once I got it right!! As usual, I think the habitat took the longest of the actual work 😅

I can't recommend Trevor enough! He's done a bunch of skulls for us over the years and my first sika turned out fantastic! This skull will be casted into a blank mold so I can create my own taxidermy forms from it. I've aged my hind at 1.5 years, and check out those canines, so cool!

Tomorrow marks the first day of our short rifle bear season, good luck! Lots of nice bruins are taken over the next few days each year, and as usual I am open for bear mounts! I love working with large predators in general and can handle a wide variety of poses.

Things are starting to heat up! This year was off to a slow start but there's some nice ones out there. This buck is a beautiful golden color all over and he's got a couple kickers. He holds the current shop record for 11 points!

This big old boy just came to the shop... he's around 7 years old!! He's got a massive head and will make such an awesome mount.

Finally getting to Death by Bunjie 's two bucks from last year 🥴 This one was from PA, his Maryland nontypical will take some extra effort because he's getting a complex pose.
