The mission of The CENTER is to provide affordable therapeutic equine activities for individuals with special needs and at risk youth in Delaware and the surrounding area. The Center is committed to reducing barriers to participation in such activities. The CENTER at C-line Stables provides typical riding lessons for everyone. We also have camps throughout the summer and during school breaks.

Last day of our Little Farmer’s #3. They started off the day bug hunting of course. They found a caterpillar today along with some grasshoppers and a cricket. We sheered the sheep but Lana, Sky & Siddy were the only ones that wanted to help. They also helped clean the clippers. The mini army was happy to see our campers. They love playing with them. Hope everyone had a great week and we will see you next year!

Day 4 of Little Farmer’s #3 They started their day hunting for bugs. They sure do love their bugs! They found a lot of grasshoppers today and a few baby toads and a cricket. Sky found a pill bug that had just shed, it was backing out of its front half. They shed the back half of their exoskeletons first and then a few days later they shed the front half. Learn something new every day! We did our morning chores and played with the mini army. After snack, they played farm animal hopscotch. When they landed on an animal they had to make their sound 🤣. We made butter today. They all helped shaking the cream to make the butter then we ate it on crackers. It was yummy!

Little Farmer’s #3 started off big hunting today! This group really loves their bugs. They found so many today after all the rain we had, baby toads, crickets, grasshoppers, a worm and a pillbug. 🤣 Flash came in to help them search. He found the baggie of lettuce I brought for the bunnies and was trying really hard to get into it. I opened it so he could try and they bunnies got none cause he ate it all 🤦‍♀️ We played with the mini army for a bit and tried to play with the bunnies but they hid from us today. They also colored and made paper airplanes.

Day 2 of Little Farmer’s 3. We did our morning chores, saved some beatles in the water trough and played with the mini army. Our campers filled the bird feeders as well. After snack, we went on a nature walk. We walked out to the pond and explored the woods and looked for bugs!

Little Farmer’s 3 started today. We did our morning chores and found a little toad. Next we went to play with the mini army! They love when campers come and visit them. Our campers helped me move a feed trough that was donated to us out to the big critters field. I couldn’t believe we carried it, I have some strong campers! After snack, they wanted to play a few rounds of musical stools 🤣. We went on a big hunt and found a toad, beetle, jumping spider and some other lil bug.

Last day of Little Farmer’s #2. It wasn’t as hot today but the air quality with the smoke was bad today so we were missing a few campers. We made a toad pond today. We have so many toads around the barn, we decided they needed their own little pond. The camper’s helped me dig the spot to put it in and then they found some rocks to put in that they each thought was perfect! Hopefully our toad population enjoys it. They decided they wanted to play musical stools today so they played a few games of that. They rode Gumbo today and all enjoyed him. We finished our week by making bee/butterfly baths for them to take home and put in their flowerbeds. I hope they lol enjoyed their week of camp!

Little Farmer’s #2. It was a hot, smoky day today! We did our morning chores then played with the mini army. We found a lot of baby toads around the farm today! Our campers painted Flash today like Goodwin in our book we read yesterday. Afterwards he got a nice bath! He loves all the kids and stands there while they paint and bathe him. He’s the best goat!

Day three and four were certainly hot ones! A lot of time spent trying to stay cool!
