We had to evacuate last night so we grabbed our kids, dogs, essentials and left. Today we came back to our house and we are all safe!! Last picture is what it is today, no longer golden hills but black. Thankful everyone is safe! 🐾❤️🐾

Humanity before vanity. I get it, knots happen and then as a pet parent you don’t know what to do. You like them long but now what? Now they are matted and there is no way to brush out the matting. The pets risk of nicks, cuts, brush burn, razor burn are all very real. The safest way is to have a professional remove the matts by shaving them off. Hair will grow back and the fluffy coat will return in time. I’m not shaming any parent when their furry love’s coat gets away from them, so please don’t get mad at me for safely removing the matting. This haircut took me double the amount of time and plenty of patience from the pup as I freed him from hair pulling on his skin. Now that the pelt is removed, he is cute and feeling better! It’s the safest way for your pet. 🤎
