So a while back we announced BIg things coming up. One (as I'm sure you guessed) was the reticulated pythons and the difference morphs we are going into. The other is we are starting up our own YouTube channel. They will be everything from things we are growing up, some pairings, different expos, as well as egg cutting videos, and different reptile related content. We want to send a BIG thank you to Small Town Xotics for helping us get the page set up at the last Knoxville expo. We're definitely looking forward to making a lot of videos but keep in mind we're just starting out 😂

Has anyone ever used this for rats? It does not say what it is. We looked on the website and it says pine but concerned it may have cedar in it. We got it from rural king. TIA

*Genetics Behind The Beauty* Everyone loved this girl in the group pictures we shared so we thought we would break down the genetics behind what makes her look the way she does. This stunning girl is a candino pied so what does that mean? Candino is the heterozygous form of candy and albino. However because candy and albino are allelic ( meaning they are on the same allele genetically) they make a visual form. Pied or piebald is a recessive trait so being a visual means she has two copies of the pied gene therefore creating a visual.
