It’s winter, and it’s gross out there!

When your dog can’t get a walk, there are tons of things you can do with your dog so they still get mental exercise which is just as important as physical exercise. Here is a list of fun indoor things to do with your dog, along with some enrichment ideas.

Fetch - If you have a long hallway, you can play fetch indoors!

Hide N Seek - Great game for your dog to work on known cues.

Find-it - Your dog has to use their nose to find toys and treats around the house.

Recall - Great time to work on your dogs recall. You can play noises on your phone or computer to add distractions.

Shell game - Use 3 cups on your floor. Place food under one cup, mix hem around, and have your dog figure out which cup has the treat.

Indoor obstacle course - There’s plenty of ways you can do this.
Training - work on known and new cues.

Puppy push-ups. Pick 3 cues your dog is good at and have them do it repeatedly. Sit-down-stand-sit-down-stand-down-stand-sit.

Go outside and shovel with your dog. Today, I attached Carl to me while I shoveled, so he got a walk in the drive way lol

Interactive puzzles and treat dispensers - Use these for meal times and when you need a break from entertaining your pup.

January 17th, 2024 we are holding the Canine Good Citizenship test and the Advanced Canine Good Citizenship test at 6pm at the training center, 4470 Norton Road Grawn MI.

If you would like to do the test, you can contact us by calling or texting 231-970-9336 your name and your dogs name.

The cost for testing is $20. Peaceful Paws pack members may test for free.
