Anybody else have the worlds biggest pig in a horses body? Let's see!!
This is my main trail boss Remi🥰
I love everything about this video. From a little boy playing with trucks and tractors in his very own giant sandbox, to the best behaved red mare I know toting around her tiny cowgirl as cool and calm as can be. Long, swooped reins and low head set wandering along with some Luke Combs in the background.
Kids playing outside❤️
This....is country at its finest🥰
A girl and her pony is as heart warming as you can get💗😍🐴
We did some tarp playing in the arena today❤️
Atlas did amazing!
And so did Prince with Brin.
For some reason Facebook will only let me upload 1 video 🙄
Good boys Atlas and Prince!
Atlas and Dallas had another play date❤️
It was realllllllyyyyy windy here yesterday all day long and it had Atlas feeling a little.... independent we will say 😆 It was the first time that I was unable to catch him since he has been here and of course it was when his mom was over to see him 🤦♀️🫣 he was seeming very spooky and unsure. The wind sure does have an effect on horses sometimes.
Though he seemed much better today when I got home from work, I thought having another play date with Dallas would help bring him back a little bit. And play they did! 😊 I think he needed the interaction with a horse closer to his mental maturity level. Him living with the ponies is like little kids living with and only interacting with adults everyday and no one similar to their age. Boring for them right? So I think he needed the play date for many reasons and it's always fun to watch them burn around and kick it up😍
Atlas had another successful day practicing trailer loading ❤️
His mom is hoping to haul him to her farrier and back here afterwards so we are working hard on getting him to load and unload safely and with ease.
Today, Bobbi Frisch and I attempted our ramp trailer. He was not crazy about the ramp part but he did put his front hooves on it multiple times so we were happy with that. Prior to that, he loaded in the grey trailer twice and then 1 time again after the ramp!
Good work buddy!🥰🐴
Atlas update!
To say I am proud of this guy is an understatement!! Any trailer experience he has had has been nothing short of traumatizing and scarey. Loading him to bring him to my farm turned into flipping over backwards multiple times, pressure and a traumatizing experience I was told as I was not there.
Everyone always says you HAVE to get them in if you start trying because otherwise they "win." I don't believe this. Every horse is different.
The first time I worked on loading with him he got extremely reactive, rearing over and over and over. He flipped over backwards once. And I was putting little to no pressure on him. Any pressure or moving his feet I tried led to more rearing, more reactive. He was huffing and puffing and sweaty and I was cool as a cucumber. I realized I was not going to be getting him in that day. My goal was for him to NOT get hurt. Or myself. Justin tried loading my pony he lives with and is the boss of their paddock for motivation. Nope. Didn't make one bit of difference. Once I realized I needed to find a new ending point since him inside the trailer was not going to happen, I decided getting his hooves in the trailer in any way, shape or form was going to be my "win." So I ended physically lifting his front hooves into the trailer and making him touch the trailer floor since I could not even get ONE step. I did that multiple times with each hoof. He was standing cool, calm and collected and we quit for the day. In many eyes he "won."
Today, Bobbi Frisch came over to help attempt it again. Even just hoping to get ONE step up would have been amazing but mostly just trying to get him happy and comfortable around the trailer. Hay. Treats. Scratches. I started asking him to lift his feet again to put them in and Atlas blew our minds. Within a half hour at most he willingly climbed in the trailer. No whips. No ropes. No pressure. No other horses for encouragement. Just a pair of sport boots to protect his legs, some treats as he is q
