Real Worx Photography

Real Worx Photography Real images of real people. I use proper lighting and camera angle to present you with a beautiful, natural image without all the photoshop editing. Far from it.

I believe photography is an art created by the photographer with their camera, not a digital editor with an editing program. I have been practicing and learning the art of photography for 10+ years. Am I perfect? Do I know all there is to know about photography? In a word, no. But I do know that people love to see a beautiful, natural image of themselves and their loved ones. I do photos for all o

ccasions: family portraits, senior portraits, weddings, kids, pets, parties, engagements, anniversaries, etc. I do not have a studio location at this time. I am fully mobile and can come to any location (within reason) that you wish.

Today, we officially kick off our “What Makes Fine Art Photography Fine Art” series. Last week we discussed the red flags when walking into fine art photography gallery and, much like a porcupine, learned that sales staff can present several fine points but collectors should be leery to embrace them all! This week we begin the discussion with a simple question, “What is a fine art image?” There are a few criteria but today we focus on one.

Many photographs in today’s modern world are the result of a number of images being stitched together to create a single photograph or hundreds of hours spent in post processing. Jeff’s position is simple. When photographers become overly dependent on capturing the image during post processing vs. in-the-field techniques, they have strayed from what is possible to do in camera and pure photography and, therefore, strayed from the path of fine art. So, he advises collectors to educate themselves, ask for full disclosure from the artist, and know exactly what it is they are acquiring. Do you want your numbered piece of photography to be a collaboration between photographer and digital designer or do you want it to be created purely in camera? To be considered fine art landscape photography, a limited amount of post processing is acceptable as long as the finished product is possible in nature and thus a true reflection of what the master Creator intended.

After a lengthy battle with health issues, I am happy to say WE'RE BAAAAACK! Also, you might have noticed a *few* changes. I won't bore you with the details, but I came through everything that's happened of late with a new outlook. I decided too that this new outlook needed a new image. I'm pleased to announce that we are now operating under the Real Worx Photography name. Why? While I loved (and still do) capturing those Magical Moments, I believe that the Real Worx brand better represents my style of photography. I'm not about heavy editing and photoshop tricks to make your memories look their best. I prefer to use what I've learned over the years about lighting, posing, and camera angle to present you with beautiful, natural images. So, with that being said, let me know what you think! I'm always open to suggestions. Also, we're now taking bookings for any and all types of sessions. (Seniors--don't wait! Get your session scheduled now before we're booked up) We have prices and packages to accommodate any budget. Give me a call at 660-358-4310 (leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible), shoot me an email at [email protected], or send me a private message right here and we can discuss what works for you. I look forward to working with you and as always, thank you for your support!
