A lot of people have asked whether we have potty trained our pups and, if so, how and was it effective?

The answer is yes and yes!

We went to Tractor Supply, got a rabbit tray, and put alfalfa pellets in it, and placed it in the pen along with the puppies in the spot that they gravitated to on the opposite end of the pen. Presto! they started using it immediately, and as they grew, they knew exactly where to go to do their business.

It makes easy transition into grass, particularly due to the fact that my husband has scattered their used alfalfa throughout our yard, giving the puppies something to smell that they were familiar with.
