PLEASE don't let this happen, your voices still need to be heard.
The thought of celebrating Stephen (Steve) Farley's artwork is a painful kick in the gut, for any animal lover.
Steve Farley was fired for his part in the murder of 318 small animals while leading the HSSA (Humane Society of Southern Arizona). He let these poor, innocent pets go to a snake breeder to be used as food (both live and flash frozen). There were 72 rabbits killed alone, not to mention guinea pigs, rats and hamsters).
Can you imagine the terror these little ones felt? No animal should have felt the panic they did. These were loved pets that ended up at the San Diego Humane Society.
This was lied about from the very beginning and swept under the rug. Has Steve Farley ever apologized for his hand in it? This man does not deserve to be honored by our city. Let's stop this now!
Emails are still needed to try to keep Steve Farley's work off of our streets.

A quick email like:
Mr. Graham,
With so many talented artists in Tucson, please reconsider the use of Stephen Farley's artwork for the Sixth Avenue underpass proposal.
In our hardworking rescue community, Mr. Farley's name will always be associated and tainted because of his hand in the murder and cover up of 318 small pets last year. As Michael Vick's name is forever tied to dog fighting, Stephen (Steve) Farley's name will be forever tied to lying and sending small pets to be used as live and frozen snake food.
Please give this amazing opportunity to a well deserving local artist, not Steve Farley.
Thank you for your time.

The city of Tucson is looking to the community for feedback and input on a plan to rename and revitalize Downtown's Sixth Avenue Underpass.
