Poor Ty has been stuck in a tiny stall for 12 weeks because of his back surgery. Today, he was able to go into a bigger stall. He was so happy! He bucked, and rolled several times! He has to stay in there for another 4 weeks, then he can start being exercised again!!

Sadly, last week, we decided to say goodbye to Juggy. Juggy was a part of our family for 18 years. Even with meds and injections, we just couldn’t keep him pain free anymore.
Juggy, there will never be a horse better than you. RIP, sweet man.

Happy New Year!!!

Doing a midnight check on the ponies. Poor Ty gets nervous with fireworks. All the other horses are calm. I gave him some extra hay to munch on. I think I will give him some Perfect Prep on 4th of July to see if that helps.

I should have posted this a few days ago! Lili and Zoey had a great show last weekend! Lili ended up Champion on Charlie, and Reserve Champion on Arwyn. Lili also won both her Medal classes, and placed 4th and 9th in the Hunter Derby! Zoey swept her division by winning each class. She and Ty ended up Champions. She also got a 5th in her first Hunter Derby, and placed 2nd in her Medal class!
I don’t think the show could have gone any better for these girls! So proud of them!

Ty got a bath in the new cross ties! Now we just have to trim up the length. The shade is nice and tall so no one will hit their heads. The cross ties are light weight chains that won’t deteriorate in the sun, but will break if a horse freaks out :-) Scott will be welding a rail in between the two bays so horses can’t swing their butts into each other!

Thanks to my farmhand, Scott, AKA My husband, we got the shade put up today! It was a long process, but everything went smoothly! We still need to finish putting in a slab, gutters, and more paneling on the back to provide more shade. It’s coming along nicely!!

We got the poles in place for a shaded tack up/wash rack area!!
As long as it is not windy tomorrow, we should be able to get the shade on!
