Rudy's Rescue

Rudy's Rescue Rudy's Rescue is a volunteer-run cat sanctuary focused on adoption of feral cats. Rudy's Rescue started April 2013 to help reduce the feral cat population.

We took in pregnant cats to provide them with a safe place to give birth. The kittens were then spayed or neutered before being adopted out. Though we do have some resident cats, we need to find homes for the majority of cats we have at the sanctuary.

With the new year comes big changes. Rudy's Rescue will be closing within the coming year. We continue to need volunteers to help socialize the remaining cats, so they can be adopted.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our yard sale. It was a great success and will help support our resident cats. We took the remainder of our yard sale items to the Humane Society Thrift Store.

Hearts that Purr is a great organization that helps cats whose owners are entering hospice and have no one to take their pets. The mission statement and link to their page are below.

1. Providing shelter and loving care for felines made homeless due to the terminal illness, incapacitation or death of their owners.
2. Educating the public about the importance of planning for the ongoing care of all their beloved companion animals should a time come when they are no longer able to do so themselves.
