Lord I cant catch a break
Our air went out and we got 5 sick kittens in the house 2 cats fans went out my sons computer went my phone still isnt working right wont charge its at 2% wish the s**t storm would stop ....just want to cry not including my back is killing me running after puppies for hours a day that no one will adopt

Its been an absolute day, and thats not a good kind of day starting at 7am. All my normal stuff but my phone got dropped in water now it wont charge right, twice puppies got out had to fix their dig spots with more metal poles
When my mom n nephew gets here dropping off some food donations Ellie the 17yr old white boxer and Piggy the 135lb xl bully tied up on the porch then may the other pit we have a highly abused dog who is Piggy's Best friend tied up too. Broke 2 collars if anyone has a xl and a large sturdy collar i need some badly of course Ellie is bleeped up of course she Bullies everyone but cant fight Boxers are fighters its in their name, seriously pits have a bad rap most of the time but boxers are fighters had to use 4 viles of medical glue on her 32 bites had to give her pain meds she is moving around but slowly she so doesn't act like a 16.5 yr old Dog
Then my husband and my autistic son who is 32 yrs old leaves for his brothers and they go buy a store and my son decides to steal a stuffed toy good thing guy was under standing and took the item boy not often does he do stupid things since he has been an adult but Lord he is in so much trouble right now by mom and dad.

I am exhausted mentally and physically today
How can you try so hard and fail

After last transport We have 4 domesticated kittens still receiving medical 10 Feral kittens being domesticated and 24 adults We still have 2 Nuetered indoor outdoor male cats for adoption they are Savannah f5 fully domesticated and litter trained super lovey high prey drive loves to hunt dog and cat friendly

We have 1 female dog spay on the 22nd we have 5 cats and 1 adult male been Nuetered the 30th We have 1 kitten needing a eye removed within the next month...and We just had a cat emergency today with a broken leg which broke us completely we used every penny we could find to get this leg fixed.

We understand everyone is low on funds

When it rains it pours,had to rush a roaming Tull community cat we take care to the er vet broken leg
We used the last 135 on care credit and every penny off of 6 credit cards 375 and 69 we had in the Sanctuary account

Folks… we’re tired of this. We tried to help today when there were reports of a wild-born raccoon that a student brought to a local school and passed around to at least fifteen children.

Raccoons can and do get rabies and they may have it for months without noticeable symptoms. Is it likely? No. Is it possible? Yes.

There is no test for rabies in a living animal, and the lives of over a dozen children depended on having a clear answer about it whether these kids needed post-exposure rabies shots.

No children said that they were bitten, but anyone who has ever known— or been— a child, knows that children don’t always tell the truth, especially if they think they could have to get shots, or that the animal might be punished, if they are honest.

Ultimately, the decision was made to send this gentle, beautiful, innocent animal to the Rainbow Bridge when he had done absolutely nothing wrong.

We, the health department, local law enforcement, TWRA, and our local animal control TRIED to avoid having this animal put to sleep. We all tried. Despite what people say every time an illegal pet gets confiscated, absolutely no one who works in animal care or public health wakes up enthusiastic about killing someone’s healthy pet.

But ultimately, when anyone is asked to make a choice between protecting 15 children and protecting a single raccoon, they will— and should— choose the children.

The people at fault in these situations are never the game wardens, animal control officers, or public health officials. These situations are ALWAYS the fault of grown adults who kidnap wild animals and treat them like pets despite the risks to the animals and to their own families.

If you have a wild animal in your possession, please contact a wildlife rehabilitator NOW to surrender the animal. Don’t wait until the animal is sick or irreversibly tame, or until you get reported to authorities. The animal deserves that.

Do better.
