🚨🐾 We Need Your Help Restocking Wire Crates! 🐾🚨

At OPCS, wire crates are a must-have for our foster homes and adoption events. They give our dogs a safe, secure space while they’re waiting to meet their forever families. We don’t typically use wire crates at the facility, except for very short temporary holds or in emergency cases when we are over capacity.

Because crates often get damaged or don’t make it back to us, we have to replace them about once a year or so.

Fig Newton Update 🐾💛

Y’all… our little “groundhog” had a big day. Poor Fig Newton had to have all of his teeth extracted today because they were in such horrible condition. This sweet boy has been through it, but he handled everything like a champ.
💪🦷✨

The GOOD news? His bloodwork came back completely normal, and his chunky little body isn’t from a medical issue, it’s just from overheating and not being cared for properly. Now that he’s safe, cool, and loved, we’re ready to help this boy slim down and feel his absolute best.

Did you know that OPCS spends thousands of dollars every single year helping community pet owners with emergency vet care, spay/neuter surgeries, microchips and life-saving vaccines? 🐾❤️

Most people don’t realize this, but we don’t have a formal program or steady funding for this critical community support. We rarely even run campaigns for it, we just help when someone is desperate and an animal’s life is on the line.

But here’s the hard truth:

We can’t keep providing this level of help without dedicated funding. Donations have been down the last few months, our vet bills are sky-high, and we’re struggling to stay caught up.

So… we finally created a Community Pet Assistance Program so supporters can donate specifically to this cause, or continue supporting our general operating costs, which keep the doors open and the dogs safe.

Automatic monthly gifts help sustain this program and take one thing off your plate, while ensuring pets in our community don’t go without the basic veterinary care they desperately need.

Queso is an adorable 3 month old orange kitten with big round eyes and a personality as warm and comforting as his name. With his soft ginger coat and curious little face, he has a way of making everyone instantly fall in love.

Queso is playful, affectionate, and always ready for adventure. He loves to follow people around like a tiny shadow, supervising every task with the seriousness of a seasoned detective. He’s brave, sweet, and endlessly curious.

Prince is a fluffy, bright-eyed 2 year old kitty with a regal presence and a playful spirit. With his soft charcoal-and-white coat, expressive pink nose, and elegant little white paws, he carries himself like he owns the castle, and honestly, he probably does.

✨ Personality:
Prince may have a royal name, but he’s all about fun. He’s a joyful, energetic cat who’s always ready for playtime, mischief, or a little adventure. He loves interacting with people, soaking up attention, and showing off his charming personality.

Lollipop Update! 🍭💗

When we last posted, our sweet Lollipop was at the vet for her spay and cherry-eye surgery. Later in the day, her vet team repeated her bloodwork and decided it would be safest to wait just a little longer. Her platelet count had doubled (which can happen during recovery), but the best news is that her liver values and everything else are now back to normal! 🙌💕

She will go back next week for a recheck to make sure she’s 100% ready to safely move forward with surgery. This girl has come so far already, and she’s feeling better every single day thanks to her amazing foster.

✨ And… FOSTER-TO-ADOPT applications are officially open for Lollipop! ✨
