Little Miss Lollipop got her big day at the vet, and she absolutely rocked it. 💗🍭

She was finally healthy enough to be spayed and have her cherry eye repaired, but we learned something during surgery that not only made us angry… it broke our hearts.

The doctor said Lollipop has likely had seven or eight litters and multiple C-sections, to the point that her reproductive organs had fused together. Considering the condition she was found in, alone, sick, and dumped in the middle of nowhere, it’s painfully clear she was used for money making puppies until her body couldn’t take it anymore… and then thrown away.

But those days are over.

Lollipop is vibrant, healthy, safe, and finally living the life she deserved all along. And the best news?
She is officially ready for adoption!
Applications are now open again for this sweet little survivor, and she is so, so deserving of a home that will love her for the rest of her life.

UPDATE on River!

River wants everyone to know that real men wear pink! 🤣💗

This sweet boy was presumably dumped out by the Arkansas River in Muskogee, but he’s settling in and letting his personality shine. The vet estimates he’s only about a year old. We’re still not 100% sure whether his snout deformity is from an old injury or something he was born with, but it does affect his breathing.

Otherwise, River seems to be a happy, healthy little man. He goes back this Wednesday for his neuter and for x-rays on his snout so we can get a better idea of what’s going on, and whether there’s anything we can do to help him breathe easier.

Everyone meet Toby 🤎🩵
Toby is growing up fast and all he wants is a home of his own for Christmas 🥺🎄

Toby is about 6 months old and weighs 35 pounds. He is crate trained and completely potty trained (he’s NEVER had an accident inside!) 🙌👏

He’s dog friendly and great with kids! He’s very independent and easy to please. He knows how to sit and waits patiently for his food & treats 🦴

🧡🍗 Our dogs had a REAL Thanksgiving feast today… thanks to the most thoughtful volunteers ever. 🍗🧡

While many people were gathered around the table with their families, a group of our amazing OPCS volunteers spent part of their holiday making and serving a full Thanksgiving dinner to our facility dogs, complete with all the goodies a pup could dream of.

They cooked, prepped, plated, and hand delivered every meal.
And the dogs? They absolutely knew it was a special day.

To the volunteers who gave up part of their Thanksgiving to make sure our dogs felt loved, celebrated, and included, we appreciate you more than words can say.
Your kindness, your time, and your hearts are what make this rescue possible.

Thank you for making sure our dogs had something to be thankful for today. 🧡🐾

This handsome boy has a LOT to be thankful for today. 🧡

He was found, likely dumped out in the middle of nowhere by the river in Muskogee, OK.
He’s underweight, extremely friendly, and has what appears to be either a facial deformity or an old injury… but he’s safe now, and that’s what matters.

A group of amazing people worked together to get him out of danger and into foster care. And even though we are extremely low on funds right now, when a dog needs help and we have a foster willing to open their home, we simply cannot walk away.

Let’s talk about these teeth. 😅
This sweet boy is out here rocking the most unbothered underbite in Oklahoma, and we love him for it.
But let’s be honest, our dude is gonna need braces.
And… uh… we definitely cannot afford braces. 😂

Freedom ride for Rowdy!

We had a temp foster step up to keep her from getting euthanized, but I need another foster ASAP! 

She’s very friendly and only 35 pounds. She is still young, so has that puppy energy!

🚨🐾 We Need Your Help Restocking Wire Crates! 🐾🚨

At OPCS, wire crates are a must-have for our foster homes and adoption events. They give our dogs a safe, secure space while they’re waiting to meet their forever families. We don’t typically use wire crates at the facility, except for very short temporary holds or in emergency cases when we are over capacity.

Because crates often get damaged or don’t make it back to us, we have to replace them about once a year or so.
