🚨 URGENT PLEA 🚨

We are BUSTING AT THE SEEMS and need your help!

Right now, our facility is completely at capacity. We have wonderful dogs who are safe and cared for, but what they really need is the comfort of a home, a soft bed, a quiet space, and the one-on-one attention that only a foster family can give.

Fostering gives these dogs the best chance to thrive while we search for their perfect forever homes. And it won’t cost you a thing, we provide all the supplies, food, and vet care.

Even a short-term foster makes a huge difference. If you’ve been thinking about fostering, now is the perfect time to open your home and heart to a pup who’s ready for their next chapter.

The sad truth is: we can’t keep saving strays or dogs at risk of euthanasia at local shelters if we don’t have space.
Every adoption and foster home makes room for us to say yes to the next dog in need.

Every week, we get hundreds of pleas to help animals in need, dogs abandoned, strays struggling, lives on the line. And every week, we have to say no to so many of them, simply because we’re out of space and low on funds.
We want to save them all, but we can’t do it without more homes to make room for the next one who needs us.

Please apply to foster today, these dogs would love nothing more than a cozy spot in your home while they wait for theirs. ❤️🐶

Little Sam made it through the night and was able to be taken off of oxygen for a few hours at a time. He ended up having a sudden case of pneumonia and a high fever. He is eating on his own as of today 🙌

He is still at Catoosa Small Animal Hospital and we are not sure when he’ll be well enough to come home 🥺

If you could help donate towards his vet bills from this weekend we would really appreciate it 🙏🥺🥺

Little baby Sam and his 3 siblings were set to be euthanized last week due to overcrowding in the shelter. We pulled them right in time and they’ve been in their foster home. They developed a cough on Tuesday and we got them to the vet and they’ve been on antibiotics since then.

The other 3 have started to get better but today Sam had no appetite, no energy, and was shivering (from having a high fever.)

We got him to the vet and they are admitting him to monitor his symptoms and get him hooked up to an IV. His lungs sound clear and his parvo test was negative.

This was a completely unexpected vet bill, and as you know we have had a lot of those lately 😭😭

If you can spare any amount of money we could really use it! No amount is too small 🙏🥺🥺

PUPDATE ON OUR FOURTH OF JULY PUPS 🇺🇸

We’ve got some big updates on the two injured puppies we took in over the holiday weekend.

First, they now have names worthy of their strength and resilience: Thomas Jefferson and Betsy Ross 🐾❤️

These two sweet souls both underwent surgery yesterday, and we’re relieved to share that everything went smoothly. Our brave little Thomas ended up needing a full amputation of his leg, but he came through like a true patriot. Betsy also had a tough procedure but handled it like a champ.

Today, both pups are in loving foster homes, finally able to rest and begin their healing journey surrounded by comfort, care, and plenty of cuddles.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this possible, from the emergency rescue and vet staff, to the amazing foster families who stepped up, and to every person who donated toward their care.

Their journey isn’t over, and we’ll be sharing more updates as they recover, but for now, please send Thomas and Betsy all your good vibes as they adjust to their new lives filled with love and second chances.

🇺🇸 From freedom ride to healing ride, these little patriots are on their way!

🚨 Emergency Medical Help Needed 🚨

Over the last two days, our rescue has taken in two severely injured puppies, both victims of attacks by a mama dog who was trying to protect her newborn litter under a trailer.

Most of you know that on July 3rd, we took in a pup, suffering from multiple puncture wounds and a crushed leg. We rushed her to our vet, and she’s now fighting to heal with around-the-clock care.

Then, on July 4th, we got the call we were dreading, another puppy had been attacked by the same dog, with similar injuries. This second pup is now hospitalized and he will also require surgery to have any chance at a normal life.

These babies are innocent and didn’t deserve this. We stepped in to give them a fighting chance, but we urgently need your help to cover their medical bills. 💔

In addition to these two emergency cases, we also took in the rest of the older litter, eight puppies in total, along with the mama dog’s 5- two-week-old litter, who are now in a foster home being bottle-fed and cared for around the clock.

Oklahoma Alliance for Animals generously accepted 2 of the older pups.

That’s 11 puppies total for us!

The owner refused to surrender the mama dog, but did allow us to take all the puppies. Initially, they were threatening to kill the mom for attacking the older pups, but we’ve convinced them to spay her instead and give her a chance to settle without the stress of multiple litters. We plan to follow up and ensure she is spayed and safe going forward.

All of this, the emergency vet care, surgeries, bottle-feeding supplies, and daily medical needs, is adding up fast. We desperately need help from our community to continue protecting these vulnerable pups and give them the future they deserve.

We are so grateful for one of our amazing fosters, Tania Crawford, for stepping in to help with this urgent and dire situation!
She and our VP Shelly, dropped everything on 4th of July to go and get all of these puppies to safety!

Please, if you can spare even a few dollars, it will go directly toward their treatment, care, and recovery. 🫶
