Update: Great news on 12/30/24
Gracie was officially adopted by Christi Beaverson and Mike Boutet.
She and their female Husky/ Pyrenees mix; Jenje, get along well and they feel she fits right in with their family.

This is beautiful Gracie Gordonsetter Mix. She is calm, likes to walk in leash and is potty trained. Knows several words and commands.
She is 4 yrs old. She is spayed and has all her vaccines and is on heartworm preventation. She will come with dog bed and food bowls, leash and collar.
Must have a fenced yard, vet reference and application. Adoption fee is partially sponsored.

A woman in Prue, Oklahoma reached out for help. she said someone had moved off and left 10-13 dogs. Altruism inc met this woman at the Walmart in Sandsprings and followed her to the location we brought dog food, ice water bowls, and a big plastic tub at Walmart. Turns out there were 17 dogs one of which was really a puppy.
OAA was able to raise enough $ to get at least five- six dogs spayed/neutered. But only that no shots. Altruism brought in two female dogs and the puppy and got the three of them better at Alta Vista Animal Hospital . Altruism also paid for 2 of those dogs to get shots, dewormed and heartworm test at the SPCA.

We desperately need more donations to help us the the rest. So far we have fosters for 2 of the dogs and maybe for two more.

“She was 18. Her people, who loved her whole life, took her, a vaccination booklet, a leash, a collar and her belongings and took her to the Baldwin Park shelter. They said they were tired of fighting with an older dog, signed papers and left, without even looking at her.
When she was picked up by a volunteer at the shelter, she leaned on him probably wishing it was all just an ugly dream.
The moment was immortalized by photographer John Hwang, who was in the shelter at the time.
Unfortunately, dogs love sincerely, with all their heart, with all their soul and are unable to understand that human 'love forever' most often has an expiration date.. - to annual, to moving, to illness, to old age...
Dogs definitely deserve better people!”

This is not the news we were hoping for 😪😭😭😭 Kylee and Miley weren’t feeling well so we had them checked out at the vet today and they have both tested positive for PARVO 😩🥺🥺

These tiny babies were originally dumped and moments away from being euthanized at the shelter when we pulled them and their mama. We reallyyy didn’t have the funds to take in 3 more dogs at that time-and we REALLY don’t have the funds for more vet bills now 😭

We had to put down a pretty hefty deposit for them to be able to stay with the vet tonight and begin the treatment they desperately need to survive 🥺

We are asking… pleading… begging…. We are in desperate need of financial help to save these babies! If you can donate… even $1. towards their care… please!! 😭 we need your help!
