Dexter, a 2 month old, 4 pound Boston Terrier/chihuahua mix was found abandoned in a creek bed near Mohawk Park in freezing temperatures. Dex is CRAZY smart! He is crate trained, sleeps through the night and is SO close to being fully house trained! (He only potties on potty pads or outside!). Do you think Dexter could fit in at your house?

Spot was one of 4 dogs that were left behind when their owners moved out of state. He is a Jack Russell mix and weighs 24 pounds. Spot is potty trained and enjoys other dogs. He is a senior, but still has lots of s***k!

A couple of months ago, we had a situation. Two dogs had been dumped at one of our volunteers house in the MIDDLE of the country. It would have been nearly impossible for them to “wander” onto her property. These girls were in good shape, fairly young, well taken care of and well socialized. We speculate they were dumped because for whatever reason (financial or otherwise) their owners could no longer care for them. They were checked for microchips, and unfortunately, they are not chipped.

Oklahoma, we are in an animal overpopulation crisis. Plain and simple. There are too many animals and not enough adopters/fosters. Please check on your friends, family members, neighbors and see if they need HELP. We can’t help but wonder, if these owners had help, would it have come to this? Would they have been able to keep their animals? Caring for these two defenseless, dumped dogs means fewer animals we can help from the DOZENS of intake requests we receive each week. Please HELP EACH OTHER!

♥️ Update: Tilly has found her forever home!

💔 But Hunter still needs your help! She is full of life! Hunter is a gorgeous black and white pointer mix. Hunter is 3 years old. She’s gentle and friendly, always ready to give you a sweet, welcoming tail wag. She loves hugs (never mind that she is 50 pounds! She thinks she’s just a baby!)! This smart companions is full of energy, always eager for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. She could benefit from some training, but is a quick learner and eager to please. Hunter will be more than just a pet, she will be a loyal companion who will bring joy and unconditional love into your home.

Meet Peggy! Both were abandoned as a small puppies, outside of a Tulsa restaurant, just ahead of some fierce weather last winter. Peggy is a sweet plott hound mix that is more than ready to find her forever! This Plott Hound mix loves other animals and enjoys people! She is crate and potty trained and would be the perfect addition to any fun family!

Buddha is a 3 year old, 23 pound poodle mix who was surrendered by his owner to a high kill shelter. Lucky for Buddha we were able to rescue him. He's a happy go-lucky kind guy who likes kids, but would do best as an only dog.
