Partnering for Pets is a non-profit
organization funded entirely by
donations from caring individuals,
community-minded businesses, and gifts
and grants from charitable foundations. We receive no funding from the government, United Way, or national animal welfare organizations. Without a facility or paid staff, PFP relies upon its network of passionate volunteers and pet foster parents dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the pets and people in our communities.

Palooza on Saturday saw many kitties find their forever home. Thank you to all our volunteers and Petsmart BA for helping all put their best foot forward, and a special thank you to our mystical gypsy, Kristen, who made a keepsake paw print for all adoptive pet parents. We'd like you to meet Alfalfa who did his best to be noticed but his right person didn't come along on Saturday. If you look closely, you'll see his new toy which was a stuffed black cat. It came in handy as a pillow after a whole day of playing. If you're looking for a friendly, super playful boy to liven things up, you can visit Alfalfa at the Sapulpa shelter.

Oh! the Horror! Little Binkster consulted the Big Black Book to try an adoption potion in hopes to find his home at Kitten Palooza. Alas, poor little fellow can't read, but we explained that he had his own special magic to share without any elixirs. Are you looking for your own mystic cutie? Kitten Palooza starts at 10:30 this Saturday (26th) at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow where many kitties are looking for adoption. All cats will have a paw reading from our mystical gypsy and all adopters will receive a keepsake paw print. Hope to see you there!

It's written in the stars! They've checked the cards! Kittens and cats are counting the days until our next mystic Kitten Palooza adoption event just in time for Halloween. A special fortune teller who sees all in her crystal ball will do a little paw reading and all kitties adopted will have a paw print made for a keepsake. Mark your calendar for Saturday October 26th starting at 10:30 a.m. at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow. A magical future is MEOW!

Partnering for Pets and the Sapulpa Animal Shelter were on TV this week with two kittens to promote upcoming Kitten Palooza. We love host KTUL Channel 8 Joie Bettenhausen! This little kitten thought she was exceptionally wonderful with beautiful hair that was considered an instant toy! Be sure to find your own sweetie at the Palooza this Saturday at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow.

Ladies & Gentlemen! Children of ALL Ages! Life may be a circus sometimes but you can find a purrfect buddy to make your life the greatest show on earth! About 20 kittens will show their stuff this Saturday, Sept 7th, and hope to find a forever home. There are ball jugglers, amazing acrobats, clowns, loud purrers, snugglers...or just enjoy your popcorn and have a friend who would love to watch TV with you. It starts at 11:00 am at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow. Adoption fee is $55 cash and includes spay/neuter, vaccinations appropriate to age, deworming, flea prevention, and more! Come one, come all!

Blast from the past - our kitty Kindle wants to share that Feb 4-10 is Burn Awareness week and he can tell you first-hand that burns are no fun! Poor fellow had severe burns all over, even his tongue! It's a good time to think about what to do if your pet is burned. It's always a good idea to consult your vet to not only provide treatment but consider pain medications and prevent infection. Be sure to check out ways you can prevent fires in your home, and also include your pet in your family's evacuation plans should you need to escape smoke and fire. Don't forget refreshing your batteries in your smoke detector. Kindle is now living the good life and wishes everyone the same!

Ruby agreed with Punxy Phil's prediction today for a short winter but she wants you to know that cats are better meteorologists when it comes to forecasts, and not just for one day a year!! Folk tales (not tails) and the Farmers Almanacs share many signs that our furry friends tell us when to expect rain or stormy weather. Kitties have better hearing than humans, dogs and most other animals due to their longer ear canals that can pick up thunder far away, and tout over 200 MILLION odor sensors that can smell changes in the climate. Ruby's ready to be someone's personal weather predictor. We'll let Phil have today, but cats rock the weather!!!

Talk to the hand! Ben is reaching out asking for tummy rubs. This sweet boy was adopted when a kitten from the Sapulpa shelter and his owner became homeless and returned him. He is such a sweet snuggle bug but is shy around new people. But once he gets to know you, Katie-bar-the-door!! Ben has been at the PetSmart in BA for a while and will soon have to be removed (PS rules), but can return after a spell away. He has worked up his courage to come outside his cage to chase balls and play and is hoping to find his forever home. He gets along with most cats but does not care for dogs, well, he is a cat! Come meet this sweet fellow and see if you can picture him in your forever.

Luther is taking a regal pose and hunkering in his cozy bed in this cold weather. He shared that this was nothing compared to the Great Frost of 1709 when a cold snap took temps in Europe lower than ever recorded. Brrrr! Luther says a good way to keep warm is to snuggle and he's up for the job. You can visit him at the PetSmart in Broken Arrow. Adopt Luther and he'll be glad to share his ideas on how to stay warm and cozy.

Anise is a pretty girl about a year old who loves to snuggle. She spends her days in the cat adoption center at PetSmart BA snoozing, playing, eating, and thinking of interesting things. She says today is National Trivia Day, and that calls for cat trivia. Did you know most cats have 4 rows of whiskers, 12 whiskers on each cheek, for a total of 24? Anise gets along with most other kitties and she would love to have a loving pet parent to share lots of hugs. Got Trivia? Anise would love to share with you!
