We had a wonderful first week back from maternity leave and can't wait for another... for now I will be grooming Wednesday through Fridays at our partnering shop A Paw Spa on Cliff Gookin Blvd and will only be offering pick up for those in need on Fridays

Regarding a post referencing Mrs. Bridgitt Prestage's past arrest record. We are aware of the posts and harassment going around. Legal action has been taken against: Shelby Tehani Prior, Ashley Ledlow, and Cheyenne Shields for Harrasment and Cyberstalking.

The picture in reference was in regards to a rescued horse who had been starving prior to being in Mrs. Prestage's care. The animal had not had time to properly recover from the prior owner, and charges were dropped by a Mississippi Judge.

If you continue to see these posts being spread, please screenshot and send them to us for our attorney. After which, please report the posts for harrasment and cyber bullying.

We appreciate all the support of our friends and customers and will resume business after some recovery time due to pregnancy complications brought on by this egregious and malicious act.

Thank you for your understanding during this trying time.

Please, PLEASE! brush you dogs or keep their hair short..

So many people don't brush their dogs and let them get so matted that all you can do is shave it all off. Sometimes you never know what lurking under all those thick tangles and mats. It could be like this first sweet boy that was covered in hundreds of ticks and a few sores . Sometimes it could be like the second baby who likes to play in the water and had lots of skin issues from staying wet all the time. With the fur being so badly matted and tangled, it's family couldn't see just how under weight or badly damaged his skin was. Fortunately, these owners now know how important it is to take care of even something as simple as their dogs hair.

Even if you don't let your dog get as bad matted as these babies any matting can cause lots of problems like skin irritation, sores, can cut off proper circulation, and it can hide other health problems your dog may have. Even small matting, (that yes we groomers can get out,) is not comfortable for your dog.

Imagine not brushing your hair all month and then trying to brush out the knots and tangles. It would be incredibly painful and would absolutely damage your hair and cause irritation to you scalp. The same is true for dogs. When you don't brush your dog for extended periods of time, then expect your groomers to be able to just brush it out and make them look cute and fluffy, it simply doesn't work. We can help to keep your dog pretty and fluffy and get out some of those mats and tangles you have difficulty with, but you have to brush at home too. When your groomer tells you that they have to shave your baby or cut their hair short, it isn't because we are lazy or evil. We simply cannot bear to put your dogs through incredible torturous pain, and risk causing more harm than good.

So please... PLEASE brush your dog. Even if it's just a little everyday. If you like them long and fluffy, keeping them on a regular grooming or bath and brush schedule with a groomer will vastly improve the quality of life for your babies, and make your life much easier.

Freddy's Fresh Paws has moved to Tupelo! Our hours will remain the same from 7:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. We will still be working at our partner location on Cliff Gookin Blvd, " A Paw Spa", as well as at our new location in the Palmetto community. We will also continue to offer pick-up and drop-off services for Tupelo and New Albany areas for your convenience.
