Very excited for this opportunity!! We will certainly get litters certified!!

The Certified California Bred Program (CCBP) was created by California Pork Producers Association to help maintain, secure, and promote swine exhibitor participation in our state while increasing demand for California bred show pigs.

100% of the collective donations and membership fees from all participating breeders will be awarded to qualifying exhibitors at both the California State Fair and the California Youth Ag Expo

Membership opens January 1, 2025, membership period is January 1-December 31
Payment schedule for CPPA members:
$300 for 1-10 litters
$500 for 11-25 litters
$750 for 26 or more litters
Junior breeders:
$25/litter up to 4 litters
Over 4 litters pay on the breeder pay schedule

A farm litter sheet must be provided to CCPB along with CCBP dues, and only swine born and bred within the state boundaries of California qualify
All paid members will be provided with the CCPB logo to promote the sale of their stock. Breeders' names will be announced along with exhibitors' names when their swine receive awards at CCBP sponsored events
CCBP program will generate approximately $25K to pay directly back to exhibitors of qualifying animals

Be on the lookout for a CCBP website to handle registration and payments. In the meantime, be sure to become a CPPA member so your CCBP membership is seamless!

We often get calls about Durocs so about 2 years ago we decided to build our herd with some special duroc females who can do the job not only in the ring but in production as well. I wanted to show case both these litters because they are out of some of my favorite sows on the farm. We will be selling some off farm but we are planning to take our best males to California Elite #1 and #2. Every time I walk in the nursery I do a double take. Pretty excited for these!

They run about 150 sows and maintain a good selection of boars at their place. If you don’t know who Blake is you’ve been sleeping under a rock! We are very fortunate he could join us in California and sort through the very best we have to offer!
