Betty had given birth to kittens but after 4 weeks, she was no longer caring for them, was not eating and was lethargic. The kittens found placement and mom was started on treatment. She started to feel better and was prepared for adoption. She is a sweet cat and enjoys attention but she does time out quickly. She has bit twice since being at the shelter. The first time she bit staff when they were cleaning her kennel leaving punctures and scratches on their forearm above their wrist. The second time she bit a potential adopter as they were petting her- leaving 3 punctures on their right pointer finger and knuckle. Due to her temperament, she will need a rescue who can help her by the end of her quarantine, January 3rd 4:00 pm.

Gideon and his littermates (A1848789 Sultan, A1848790 Ambrose, and A1848791 Milton) were found in a mobile home park. It took the finder a few days to get them and bring them to the shelter as they noticed they were sick. All four of them have URI and need socialization, however, Gideon needs the most help. He is the runt of the litter weighing less than a pound and allowed the least amount of handling (he's the tiny guy running to hide behind the kitty house in the video). Although Gideon's littermates don't have a deadline at this time, a rescue can pull them all together if they have the bandwidth. Otherwise, Gideon is most in need and needs a rescue willing to work on his behavior and help him gain the weight back. He needs rescue commitment no later than January 2nd, 4:00 pm.

This cat was found with what the finder thought was an injury to its ear. He arrived at the shelter and he is a friendly boy, but when he does not want to be handled anymore he will let you know. He loves to get pets around his head. His right ear is ulcerated and we suspect it may be cancerous. He will need further diagnostics and more advanced treatment than the shelter can provide. This sweet boy needs rescue commitment (and rescues need dedicated fosters willing to transport to medical appointments!) no later than December 29th, 4:00 pm.

Angel was brought to the shelter after the finder saw that she had a possible injury. She is a very friendly girl who loves to be pet and will start to purr. She has squamous cell carcinoma on her left eye lid, severe URI, pneumonia, is emaciated, and is likely in renal failure. She does have owner information but no one has come to claim her at this time. This sweet girl is likely a hospice case - she needs a rescue (and rescues need fosters!) willing to give her the love she deserves in her final days. She needs rescue commitment no later than tomorrow, December 23rd.

Flower was reported to have been hit by a car. The finder tried to get him the care that he would need but decided to bring him to the shelter. He has been a very friendly and sweet kitten since his arrival. However, his limbs are swollen and he was having some bloody diarrhea. Our veterinarian suspects he has a pelvic injury(s). He has recently become more quiet and while he can relieve himself on his own, he does so with great difficulty and is not comfortable. His urine is tinged with blood and his poop is smearing and difficult for him to release. This poor guy needs rescue by 4:00 pm TOMORROW, however, should he decline further, he may be humanely euthanized sooner.

Felix is a 5 week old tuxedo hunk that came in as a stray. The shelter is deeming him "not socialized" and has added him to the euthanasia because of it. As you can see in his video, he is NOT hissing, swatting, spitting - he is a baby and he is scared. He's even hiding under his blanket π₯. This sweet boy needs a rescue with a dedicated foster who can teach him that people aren't all that day with a little love and patience. Let's get Felix out of there.
Any "anti-shelter"/negative comments will be removed. That is not our intent with this post. We just don't think Felix is as bad as some other "behaviorals" we've seen and because of his age, there's a greater change of a turnaround.
