🐾 Milo & some of his friends may not be available just yet...

But don’t forget — we have some truly amazing dogs already waiting to meet you.

Take Frappe, for example. This sweet, loyal girl has been with us since March 19 (thats 114 days ) . She’s been patiently watching others come and go, wondering when her turn will come. She’s playful, gentle, and more than ready for a family of her own.

While future stars like Milo are still getting ready behind the scenes, there are incredible dogs here right now who would love a chance to shine.

Milo is looking paw-sitively dashing and will be available for adoption soon — thanks to Donna’s magic touch. We’re beyond grateful for her continued support in helping our shelter pups look and feel their best. 💛

💫 Meet Kaia — Our Gentle Powerhouse 💫
She’s stunning. She’s soulful. She’s a Cane Corso with a heart bigger than her paws… and we’re honestly not sure how she’s still at the shelter.

Kaia has waited with patience and grace while others come and go. She’s got the looks, the loyalty, and the loving nature that make her unforgettable — but what she doesn’t have is a home.

🐾 Thinking she’s not a match because you have another dog?
No problem. We’ll happily set up a meet and greet with our director and Kaia to see if it’s a good fit. She's worth the effort, and she deserves the chance.

🐾 Parvo Is Preventable, But It Doesn’t Travel Alone
Canine parvovirus isn’t airborne — it’s tough, contagious, and dangerous.

🧼 It spreads through infected p**p and survives for months in mud, stagnant water, and damp shady soil, the kind of places curious pups love to sniff.

🚫 One walk through a contaminated puddle can bring it home on your shoes, tires, or paws.

✅ Protect your dogs:
• Stay current on vaccines
• Avoid unknown areas
• Don’t let your pup splash in puddles or muddy yards
• Disinfect shoes and hands after visiting public places or shelters

🚨 Important Alert for Animal Lovers and Rescue Supporters! 🚨

North Carolina’s HB 96 was originally meant to help property owners deal with squatters faster. But behind closed doors, a sneaky provision was slipped in that blocks local governments from banning the sale of puppies in pet stores — effectively protecting puppy mills. 🐶❌

This loophole threatens animal welfare and makes it much harder for rescues and shelters like ours to save animals from cruel breeding operations. If this bill passes, it could increase the number of puppies coming from mills — which means more suffering animals and more strain on our shelter’s resources.

We need your voice! Speak up against this harmful change and support efforts to keep puppy mills out of our communities. Together, we can protect animals and fight for stronger rescue laws.

We’re looking for a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team!

Qualifications:
• Kennel technician experience and/or working with animals preferred
• Strong communication skills and good work ethic
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions

Pay: To be discussed at the interview.
