Trupanion if you use this company for insurance for your animal, I highly suggest you drop them immediately. They will find every loop pole possible to not cover any medical costs for your pet. You’re better off creating a savings account for your pets.

Hey Everyone,

I know some are going to greatly disagree with my post, and that’s ok. However- as the 4th of July gets closer, many people are going to celebrate. The 4th is on a Tuesday this year. Expect fireworks the weekend prior and of course on Tuesday as well as at the end of the week. Each year I read how reactive pets are to fireworks. Honestly, how YOU react and present to your pet has a HUGE impact on how your pet reacts. If you have a pet that has struggled for years will loud noises and gets anxious with busy and overly stimulated environments, a local dog training professional can help your pet adapt and over come these anxious environments with proper training and exposure to such stimulus.

If you coddle your pet during “anxious scenarios” you may be indirectly enabling the anxious behavior they are exhibiting. If you have a young dog and this is their 1-3 year(s) for the Fourth of July, you can begin practicing techniques or exercises that TEACH your pet not to stress, rather than unknowingly condoning a reactive behavior. I am not a dog trainer, but have worked with Hudson K-9 Training Center for all my pets and Ramon and Lori are fantastic!

If your pet is older or of the mindset that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, it might be a good idea to be proactive and reach out to your pet’s veterinary office and discuss what options are available to your pet to help them through this week if they are reactive to fireworks. This could include a supplement or medication suggestion.

Blasting Facebook about fireworks will not help your pet. YOU, can help your pet. This is a good time to be Proactive instead of Reactive 🐾🐾❤️❤️
