For the month of January we are going to be offering some fun classes at Kc’s Agility! In our club sessions, we will be learning new NADAC and CPE trial games. Also, we have added an exciting new class called Skills and Drills happening on Wednesday nights. These classes are going to be tailored for people who are interested in sharpening their handling skills that will help them perform better in full courses. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions!

Sunday January 5th CLUB
Colors- The object of Colors is to successfully run a choice of one (1) of the two (2) overlapping colored mini-agility courses in the same ring. It is your choice which path you choose!

Monday January 6th CLUB
Colors- The object of Colors is to successfully run a choice of one (1) of the two (2) overlapping colored mini-agility courses in the same ring. It is your choice which path you choose! Different course from Sunday if we have people wanting to run both Sunday and Monday.

Wednesday January 8th SKILLS AND DRILLS
All about jumps- Did you know that the single obstacle “jump” in an agility course could actually have 3 different commands associated with it? In this skills and drills classes we will work on forward sends, backsides, and wraps.

Sunday January 12th CLUB
Full house-The object of FullHouse is to test the course planning strategies of the competitor to successfully accumulate enough points for the team’s level as well as three (3) of a kind, a pair and a joker before the course time has ended.

Monday January 13th CLUB
Full house-The object of FullHouse is to test the course planning strategies of the competitor to successfully accumulate enough points for the team’s level as well as three (3) of a kind, a pair and a joker before the course time has ended. Different course from Sunday if we have people wanting to run both Sunday and Monday.

Wednesday January 15th SKILLS AND DRILLS
The contact zone- Have you seen those yellow zones at the bottom of the dog walk, A frame, and teeter boards? Did you know that agility dogs MUST hit that contact zone before leaving the obstacle? Practicing this skill frequently will help create a reliable exit each time. We will practice 2 on 2 off contacts for this skills and drills class.

Sunday January 19th CLUB
Wildcard- The object of Wildcard is to successfully complete the course including enough “wildcards” which will be marked on the course at three (3) different obstacles to qualify. Collect 2 “A”s and 1 “B” to finish the course.

Monday January 20th CLUB
Wildcard- The object of Wildcard is to successfully complete the course including enough “wildcards” which will be marked on the course at three (3) different obstacles to qualify. Collect 2 “A”s and 1 “B” to finish the course. Different course from Sunday if we have people wanting to run both Sunday and Monday.

Wednesday January 22nd SKILLS AND DRILLS
Going the distance- Handling your agility dog from a distance is a goal that many handlers have. Ever seen those border collies at agility finals whose owners can stand in the middle of the arena and point to the obstacles they want the dog to take AND THE DOG DOES IT?! Learn about the foundations of handling from a distance and how to make it fun for your dog!

Sunday January 26th CLUB
Chances- The Chances class is a special skills class that is a numbered course that could have any of the acceptable obstacles listed in the NADAC equipment list. The goal of the Chances class is to test the distance, directional and discrimination (DD&D) skills of the dog and handler team.

Monday January 27th CLUB
Chances- The Chances class is a special skills class that is a numbered course that could have any of the acceptable obstacles listed in the NADAC equipment list. The goal of the Chances class is to test the distance, directional and discrimination (DD&D) skills of the dog and handler team. Different course from Sunday if we have people wanting to run both Sunday and Monday.
