Hello Furriends, we are in Northeast Tennessee and were impacted by the hurricane. Our very own Moosie and Opie (as well as Angels Sammy and Pooky) were adopted from Unicoi County Animal Shelter. Mama Mew was both an employee and volunteer there in years past. This shelter is very special to us. It has been devastatingly destroyed by the hurricane. Fortunately, the animals all made it out safely due to the heroic efforts of staff and volunteers. The big need now is restoration! If you could, please donate, every dollar counts! Words can't describe how grateful we are to our local community, animal nation, and ALL of the amazing support from around the world. As of right now, we are getting quotes for a bio-hazard clean up crew to come in but it is very very expensive. We were told yesterday that we lost everything from our ink pens to our kennels and new cat cages. We have to tear everything out to the studs and rebuild. Cody Walker and Pam Harris are working around the clock to make this happen as soon as possible.

We are going to need everything down to a simple ink pen. Here is our amazon wish list that we are working on for when we move back in. We are trying to find some normalcy at this terrible time even with something as simple as our favorite pens. Everything truly helps!!

Everyone associated with our shelter has been amazing. Our animals and people wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the amazing people. Words will never be enough to thank you!

Happy 4th Gotcha Day Baby Cleo! Mama Mew rescued her from a trap that had been left in the awful heat by a neighbor for who knows how long. We are so glad Cleo is a part of our family even though she always looks grouchy! ❤️
