A little late to post, but we had a great outing at the Silver Fox October show! I wish I had gotten more photos of everyone!

Quinn O’ Toole took Danger Ranger around ground poles again on saturday to produce even better and more strategic rounds. This kid knows how to ride and is on her way to ve a great horsewoman. She also tried her first cross rail class and took home 3rd!

Willow Buchanan had her very first show experience on sunday with Danger Ranger to earn Reserve champ in the poles. She executed perfect focus and sportsmanship. Safe to say she’s hooked now!

Brooklyn Bender tried her first x rail division this weekend with On the Rocks and rose stronger each time she went in the ring. Even though the ribbons weren’t what they were hoping for, she made huge leaps in progress from the first trip of the show to the last. Good job using this experience as motivation!

Ella Fruits took her pony Cailin Dobh around BOTH of their first debut in the x rails to stay in the top ribbons all weekend and earn Reserve champ on sunday! Ella’s hard work and dedication to her pony and sport at such a young age is truly admirable!

A last minute scratch with her mount Grand Sw***er due to a stone bruise, led Megan Lockey to pilot Cailin Dobh around the puddle jumpers. With only riding this pony once before, she guided Cailin to a Reserve champ finish in the puddles on sunday. What a versatile rider she is becoming!

Luna Beaullerina had her second outing ever and was a super star of a 4 year old. Luna had brave rounds in the back ring on saturday in the schooling 2ft, then hopped into the main ring on sunday to earn Reserve champ in the silver fox 2ft. Luna enjoyed the change of scene as she thought everyone at the show was provided for her entertainment solely. Do they make them any better than that?

What a great weekend to end on as we transition into our new home and family. I am constantly in awe of of how eager and dedicated everyone is to the knowledge of their sport Congrars ladies❤️❤️

we had a wonderful time at the August Happenstance show! Results over the weekend:

4yo Luna Beaullerina went to her first show where she competed in the 2ft open hunters and collected🥇🥉🥈, putting in very bold trips to show off just how sensible she is! Luna has only been jumping for a month and stepped in the ring like she had done it all before, not peeking at a single fence or questioning her abilities once. such a lovely mare!

On the Rocks, “Bacardi” took two riders around this weekend. On saturday, Megan Lockey made her very first debut not only in the jumper ring but in the 2ft at a show. They were consistent and earned 🥈out of 7 riders in all three trips. Megan worked very hard to make the leap into jumperland and it definitely paid off!

Dilynn Aufmuth took Bacardi around the puddle hunters on sunday to get herself back in the show ring to prep for her debut next month with her own mare. Dilynn worked hard over the summer on the technicalities of her courses as she gears towards the jumper ring again. She executed great organization and rhythm to earn Reserve champion!

Ella Fruits took her pony Cailin Dobh around poles both days. This was a very special show as the last couple shows did not go quite as smoothly. Ella worked very hard over the summer to make sure her and her pony were a strong team with execellent communication. They were champion on saturday and 3rd in the $150 classic then 🥈and🥉 on sunday . What a comeback!

Quinn O’ Toole took Danger Ranger through her second show of the ground poles on saturday to earn 🥈🥉🥉. This little lady made HUGE leaps of improvement in her own riding to give Ranger a much straighter and much more organized course. Quinn is turning into a wonderful horsewoman at only 6 years old!

Megan Lockey took Danger Ranger in the puddle hunters sunday to help him get miles in more divisions than just ground poles. She helped him be confident in himself and put some great rounds together!

I am so unbelievably proud of these girls and the hard work they put into their rides every lesson leading up to the show. I was ecstatic to see their efforts pay off and goals reached by each one of them. I couldn’t ask for a better crew!

we popped in for the 82nd Bridlespur show this past saturday with two riders and horses.

Quinn O’ Toole took Danger Ranger around her very first show, competing in ground poles. They earned two 3rds in their over fences out of 8 riders. Quinn was the smallest and youngest in her division and held her own very well!

Megan Lockey took “On the Rocks” through x rails at his first show with us. we picked up Bacardi on the previous sunday, and showed him 6 days later. Megan rode him once before the show and managed 4th and 5th out of 9 riders. pretty solid for riding him only 20 mins the day before!

Great job girls and onto the next adventure!

With summer fast approaching and a couple more horses added to our summer program (👀) we will have just a few lesson spots coming available (no seriously, only 4 spots!!).

Here are some FAQs for those interested!

What age do you start at?
- typically we start at age 5, but sometimes allow 4yo to do a few half hour lessons to start if they’re close to their 5th birthday!

How often are lessons and how long?
- lessons are one hour privates, and once weekly, but can be twice weekly if interested. we do not do every other week.

What equipment do I need to start out?
- for the first couple months you only need pants with no holes and closed toed shoes with a heel. As riders advance and develop more interest, we ask that you purchase a helmet and boots and are happy to assist in the process.

Do I have to jump or compete?
- absolutely not! we only teach english riding, but are happy to help you with any goal you have.

Can I compete without owning a horse?
-yes! we have a wide range of qualified lessons horses that can take you from your very first show up to the 2’6.

we had a great weekend at this past Happenstance Farms schooling show!

Grand Sw***er and Megan Lockey made another debut in the puddle hunters where they worked on rhythm while pricing together longer courses in order to prep for their transition into jumperland. they worked very hard and made HUGE improvements since their last show together.

Danger Ranger was a bit overwhelmed by some bugs on saturday, but still pulled a 3rd pkace with Ella Fruits in her very first crossrail class. Sunday he felt much better and took Emersyn Gaebe through her very first leadline class, adding one more horse addict to the crew! Later he and Ella made their groundpole trips to earn 2nd and 3rd. Ella works very hard in the saddle and I can’t wait to see her move up soon!

Mystic Flight had his second go around in the .75-.85m jumpers this weekend. Saturday was a bit exciting, but the more he rode the better and more competitive he got. He managed 3rd saturday and reserve champion on Sunday with 1st and 3rd. This pocket rocket is going to be a serious and consistent winner in the jumper ring in no time!

Great job ladies and a belated but very happy mother’s day! we look forward to returning to Happenstance for the Bridlesupr show!

SE had a great outing at the Silver Fox Leprechaun Show.

lesson horse Ranger “Propane” took two riders around the ground poles at both of their first show. he stayed in the ribbons all weekend out of a huge and competitive division of 15-18 horses. Brook and Layne worked so hard to prep for this show and it definitely paid off. congrats you two!

lesson horse Bear “Grand Sw***er” and Megan Lockey competed in the puddle hunters all weekend at Megan’s first hunter jumper show in another huge division. there was lots of progress and growth over the two days. they are already working on their homework for the next show! great riding Megan!

Kevin, “Mystic Flight,” owned by Tracy Brillos, and Megan Harp competed in the .75m-.85m jumpers where this was Kevin’s first time in the jumpers and at this height. he earned 3rd and 5th out of 13 horses. He will make someone an amazing show horse when he is ready. he absolutely loves to jump’

Great job to everyone that rode and a huge thank you to parents and friends that helped at the show and home!

we had a great first show of the season this past weekend at Silver Fox!

Grand Sw***er “Bear” had his first outing with us where we learned he absolutely loves the jumper ring producing very brave and excited .60m rounds with Madi. we are so excited to see what he will accomplish this season with his boldness and carefulness to the fences. Bear also guided a student around her first 18in at a show and was a true gentleman.

Cailin Dobh had her first underaaddle show with Ella and both had a great learning experience. this pony gets better and better each time!

Delston came out of his winter vacay to play in the .85-.95m and was very happy to be back in action. can’t wait to see him step up to the meters!

also and always a thank you to everyone at home that kept the barn going! we are so excited for the upcoming season!

we have been taking advantage of the weather these past few weeks to get homework done and improve our skills for the upcoming season. lots of riders working on new things to build their tool belt for a more effective ride. from learning posting diagonals from feel only to learning to canter strides in lines, increasing our self awareness, and more. i love seeing everyone’s progress!
