What better way to start a Saturday than to two new shinning faces on the farm!!! This morning June decided to welcome triplet does, unfortunately one was stillborn but the other two are doing great. These little girls finally broke our buck streak but June is our last doe to kid for this group. Hoping this means our next group with start out strong on the doe side 🤞🏻

It’s that time again, baby spotlight!!! First we have Lord Farquad, he’s from a litter of triplets and is the only boy. Born on January 8th to Bambi and Shadow, who are both registered with ADGA and clean tested. Farquad has been living in the house with us as his mom was having trouble feeding all three properly. He is taking a bottle well and just loves attention, even from the cat lol. He would make not only a great herd sire but also be your new best friend. Farquad is disbudded and UTD on all vaccines. He’s located 20 minutes south of Fort Wayne IN. You can find more information on our website, www.knf-farms.com.

Babies are starting to grow and become more spunky. I’d have to say this is one of my favorite parts about having babies, along with getting to create strong bonds with their siblings and moms. Little red has not quite understood the concept of nursing so he has been getting bottles. But tonight he finally latched and was nursing on his own!!! We can’t wait to share their growth with everyone.

It has been a very eventful 48 hours. Within this time four of our does kidded resulting in 10 kids being born. Unfortunately we lost a doe and a buck leaving us with 8 kids. We have two more does left to kid, one will be any day and the last one in a few weeks. Pictures of the babies will be posted soon!!

We should be expecting babies in about a week or so! We are lucky enough to have cameras set up to watch the girls and make sure everything is going smoothly. Having cameras accessible has been such a relief when it comes to kidding. I highly recommend investing in cameras as you are able to check up on your animals whenever you want. Keep watching for updates as we get closer!!!

With cold weather coming in we got the goats all situated. Everyone got new bedding and the does got their insulated wall put in. They love this wall because it allows them to still go outside but only through a small opening which keeps it nice and warm. Which will be really good for when babies arrive!!! Only a few more weeks!!!

Maggie is here and wants to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!!! Not only that but we have just a month before babies arrive!

11/07/2024
