We are so pleased to say that we raised another great batch of Great, Great a Danes!
Thank you thank you to all who trusted us with your investment for its first eight weeks!

We had 9 willing swimmers of eleven pups this time! That’s a personal best.
10/11 knew their names, and the eleventh doesn’t have a name

What does buying from a reputable breeder mean?
Well in this case, it means that the Sire and Dam were purchased legally, and matured into dogs that represent the breed standards well. Dogs that are only selectively bred, and not overbred, meaning our girls health is far more important than income-
In this case it also means that the pups are well nourished, and have full time supervision- each pup meticulously weighed to ensure growth is consistent, and regular visits and discussions with a quality veterinarian.
It means that adopting families can join in on our 24hr live feed puppy cam, and take part in open house on Sunday’s where we let everyone come, and discuss dog ownership, training, and play with their new additions- it means they’re loved, and trained starting on day one.
It means that they’re our kids, and we know they’re going to be yours too….

Picked up some bones on the way home today…
Lilly is sheepish, maybe it’s a trap?
Riggs takes his to the far end of the house, and you can’t even get his attention. Bear and Abby with their vise-jaws have literally snapped theirs in half within the first five minutes.
stains everywhere. Whatever- this is the life…

Even Toby wanted his picture taken, though it got a little weird there for a second. Then Riggs and I tried a selfie… Didn’t work.

Sometimes, even when you’re right on track, He has another plan for you…

We received this cherished gift from a client last week, containing some ashes of their beloved Finley-
Fin, at less than a year of age developed complications from a tick bite, including lepto, and kidney failure. Fin’s folks were forced with a choice that no pup owner should be at such an age.

Sharing this as a reminder that sometimes it’s the little things that can cause life’s biggest changes… watch out for ticks.

What sad news… he was known as a total clown while we had him. He was tough to give up…. May your wounds heal soon.

Welcome 2022!
Last fall we added to our pack. Welcome Lilly to the group!
Lilly is now six months old and is displaying all of the characteristics we want to see in our lines. With luck, she will develop and mature into a well shaped dog with traits we want to pass to the next generation!
-and if not, she’s sweet as pie so she’ll still be a great addition to our family.

Abby is doing great and has fully recovered from her last litter. High and tight we call it, lol. Abby also had a recent heat during Thanksgiving that we skipped breeding.
We felt like she could just use the time off, and we enjoy her so much frankly I just wanted her company for a while!
She’s been using the time to her advantage and has bulked up a bit for winter and is ready for some ice fishing before likely breeding in the spring!

Hopefully you all find 2022 to be a peaceful year, full of health and prosperity-
Of course the likelyhood of it is about as good as me finding a spot to sit on the furniture in my own home!

A quick public service announcement:

A family reached out to us this morning because they’re having some questions and concerns in reference to a puppy that they recently purchased from a different breeder.

It does not bother us in anyway shape or form to help guide and answer questions regardless of whether your pup came from Windemere or not.
When purchasing a puppy the puppies health and living conditions in their first eight weeks can really dictate what you have or a dog for the next 10 years.

Choose your breeder wisely-
A good breeder will not allow you to be partnered with a poor quality pup.

Getting kinda quiet at home with only two pups here, and Maggy leaves tonight.
We will have bubbles for another day or two, and then she too will be gone.

We may have to do this again-

PS-
It’s all cute it 30lbs, and almost never cute at 150lbs…. Nip it in the bud early! Lol.
