Another year of classes is starting for the 2023 year!

Tonight is the first class at the fairgrounds

4 to 5pm for beginner or 1st years
5pm to 6 for intermediates
6 to 7pm for novice division

Tonight you will need:

Dog’s up to date vaccination records
Leash, 6ft
Collar (buckle, martingale, whatever you would like to train on… this might change)
Treats, this could be kibble, Cheerios or anything your dog loves

Parents please stay and listen to the class

Hey everyone!

4-H dog classes will Start on April 3rd

Classes will be at the fairgrounds in the YEC building.

Some important information and thing to bring

Beginners will start @ 4:00 pm (1st year& 2nd year)
Intermediates @ 5:00 pm
Novice @ 6:00 pm
(If you are unsure of what class you need to be in feel free to reach out)

Please bring proof of vaccinations.
Wear close toed shoes
Have your dogs on a 6ft leash and an appropriate collar.
Please bring treats that your dog can have and is quick and easy to eat for them!

*if you do not bring proof of vaccinations or your dog is not up to date you will not be able to participate until they are

Get excited! We are working on 2022 Dog Class and Dog Show items and getting prepared for another year of fun! I am excited to see new and returning faces!

Come with closed toed shoes and ready to do some agility!

Hey everyone! I hope you are ready for a fun year!

*MAKE SURE TO READ ENTIRE POST*

Dog classes start May 23rd:
1st and 2nd year exhibitors will be 4pm to 5pm
3rd on up will be 5pm to 6pm

We will be training in the show arena at the fairgrounds

Bring your dogs updated vaccinations!

What to bring:
treats and water for your dogs
Water for yourself
Leash
Training collars
Wear close toed shoes

This year we are going to use some treats while training so make sure they are treats your dog likes!

Hi everyone! We are putting on a dog show for Iowa State University's Block and Bridle. This will take place in the Hansen Learning Center on October 24th, 2020. It is open for both 4-H members and Open show. We are having obedience and rally.

This will be a perfect to keep up on your dog training and get more experience in the show ring!

Exciting news just in!

There will be a 4H/FFA Iowa State Fair Dog Show August 22nd, in Ames, Iowa. If you are interested in showing your dog at the Iowa State Fair, please let me know!

There will only be obedience and rally classes.

Thank you everyone for a great year! I am so proud of how each and every one of the exhibitors and dogs did together! You all did amazing and worked through the obstacles we were given! Could not have asked for a better group of exhibitors! If you have a good picture or pictures of everyone in the ring, could I have you send it to me in messages or the comments? Hey everyone! Dog class this Sunday will be a big one! It will be at 5 again at the fairgrounds!
It will be the last class before the show!

We will go over the show day details as well as run through all obedience, showmanship, and rally!

Show is Sunday, July 19th. I hope to see everyone at class on Sunday!

I hope everyone is ready to run through Rally! I have the new rally signs and they will be ready to roll for Sunday!

There will be class Sunday at 5! We will run through obedience, showmanship, and rally!
We will really focus on Rally as that is a part of the show we have not gone over at all yet!

We will run through obedience, showmanship and rally.
I’ll be bringing showmanship packets for everyone as well as the a score sheet for the classes everyone signed up for so they know what to practice at home.

There will be dog class for 4-H members who are showing this Sunday starting 5:00 pm! This will be at the Floyd County Fairgrounds in the show arena!
Please bring the following:
-Up to date dog vaccination records
-water for dogs and kids
-leashes and training collars
-showmanship leads (if you have one)

*Please wear closed toed shoes*

Social distancing is required so we will try to keep everyone 6 feet apart at all times.
