So far, the pups enjoy the new truck and seem much calmer without the loud generator! Some pups were very confused as to why I showed up in Taz versus The Beast, but the confusion turned to excitement quickly!

Special shout out to Miss Rosie- who was the lucky first pup to ever get groomed in the new truck! She was so excited to explore the new territory!

I really just want to thank everyone so much for being so kind and understanding during this chaotic building time! ❤️

Taz has been on the move! Still lots to be done, but I've been busy trying to catch up with appointments! As of today, I've got a pup ramp set up so I can get back to grooming bigger pups again!

Future plans consist of:

-Building up the floor to be level with the two side wheel well boxes.

-Build a track that allows the ramp to slide in underneath the floor.

-Put in the permanent floor and drain system

-Extend the ramp so it's a smoother incline for the pups. Weld together the two parts of the ramp to become one big sturdy piece. Also add in additional bracing so the ramp won't be able to flex much when walking up it.

-Taking down the existing garage style door and building a wall with a new custom made regular sized door.

-Finish insulating walls and put up waterproof walls

There's more to this list- but I'm working on the most important parts first before winter comes!

Here's a sneak peak of the truck and all the progress that has been made! Still lots to do, but I'm getting there. I've also decided to name the truck Taz. In honor of my dad who loved Taz the tasmanian devil. Taz seems like a fitting name for the truck considering how fast I had to find it and get it at least operational. It's been a whirlwind lately! I'm hoping to have the main operational road block fixed tomorrow 🤞

Update on the grooming truck: Power and water activated! I'm so excited to announce the truck is operational! It's far from being completed, but it's the main components that are important to begin grooming again. It still needs a pup ramp built, a new door system put on, and the new flooring to be put in. However, I can still work on those things without taking any more downtime during the week. With that being said, I will be starting with the pups I can lift into the truck until I can build a pup ramp. Thank you all for being so patient and understanding during this massive change!!

I'm pleased to announce the purchase of my new grooming vehicle!! I'm very excited to start a new journey with this van. It's not a brand new van, there are dents, dings and an interesting paint job over the old logos, but all of that aside, it runs and drives nicely! I have not come up with a name for it yet, but I'm sure I will soon!

I will need a couple weeks to convert it into a mobile grooming salon, but I will be back on the road very soon! Once I am near completion of this big project, I will reach out to begin rescheduling. Thank you everyone for being so patient and understanding during this chaotic time for me!

It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce “The Beast” has taken it's last drive. A part of the trailer frame snapped, which makes the trailer unsafe to travel. According to a trailer repair shop, it's not recommended to fix. I'm advised to consider the trailer totaled and build something new. I'm on the hunt for a new vehicle, so once I find one, I can update on how long it will take me to build it and start setting up appointments I've had to reschedule. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone. I'll be looking forward to being back on the road to see my pups as soon as possible!

Some of the most satisfying grooms are the ones that make furnados! Special shout out to Mongo, who is the sweetest elderly gentleman! Since he's an older pup, he was able to lay down the majority of the time so he could be more comfortable. All in all, we got a whole other Mongo out of the fur that was blown out of his coat! Additional pictures in the comments below ☺️

2024 has started off with a bang. Both literally and figuratively. Despite there being a tree on the trailer, it seems there is no damage I can see at this time. However, with the temperature being in the negatives, my generator does not want to start. Until I'm able to get it started, appointments may need to be rescheduled. I will keep everyone with appointments this week posted!
