Medina Meow Fix will be taking a much needed winter vacation for 2-3 weeks.
Starting December 15th we will be bringing all of the traps in for cleaning and maintenance. Please continue to help TNR and drive your cats to Alter Clinic, The Great Life and book into Mission Possible as well. We will resume after the first of the year, weather permitting. If it’s below freezing we won’t trap.
Please do not let kittens freeze, winter is very hard for tiny bodies. We always prefer a mom and kittens to stay together 4-5 weeks but please do not let any animals freeze. If any emergency arises please call the Medina SPCA.


If you have any traps please get them back to us.

Adopted! The Common Grounds had a nice event today and 2 kittys found forever homes! The ladies met great people and had a nice day.

When your group decides to help a 12-14 year old cat with old age cataracts, missing teeth, deaf and many old frostbite scars your heart grows. She just melted and purred. Cathy Hanton Denman gave her a good nail trim and some vaccines, she went to the most wonderful foster home at Jill Hubbards and gets to be warm and pampered.
We would love for her to go to a happy home that would allow her to just live her senior years.
She’s healthy, she’s happy.

Several months ago a good friend and client of Medina Meow Fix needed some help. She was moving and her 3 feral cats could not go to the new location. She was worried and our group put a plan together. A good friend said she would house all 3 at her amazing barn and the trapping began. All vet work was updated, the oldest kitty 10 or 11 needed to have double entropion surgery and dental work but he came through it all like a champ.
In the back of our mind we hoped the 30 day acclimation with his friends would be enough for the old man.

Fast forward…. He and friends were released and Orange boy abruptly vanished… sightings and traps were set and 10 days later he made it several miles back to his home…

I kept telling his caretaker to keep her eyes peeled and he showed up.

Animals are truly amazing. He didn’t want leave her or his life long home. Yes- he’s a semi feral cat, he’s not warm and fuzzy. He had a wonderful placement too. We still would love him to go to the barn but we’re setting up some new plans.

He’s got shelter and a heated water bowl tonight and new digs are coming for him.

We sure try hard as a team and our homeowners, barn owners and donors have truly been incredible this year…

So glad Orange is safe! Hey- we fixed his eyes so at least he could see! 🫨😺😺😺😺

When you adopt a kitten but know that the kitten had a rough start you do your best to help… baby blue is getting stronger! His ACL and meniscus surgery went well and he’s looking good! Many thanks to his “friend” Katrina Cerny tonight for always supporting our efforts.

I’m tempted to “foster fail” but that makes it more difficult to keep an open door for other fosters.

Wishing everyone a blessed, beautiful and happy Thanksgiving. Medina Meow thanks everyone for caring, loving, feeding and helping all animals. The more we’re aware of dumped and stray cats the quicker we TNR, find homes for friendly’s and keep colonies healthy we might actually make a dent in the population!!!
We can do it!!!!
