This girl has been kicking butt lately in barrel racing!! Scout and her horse Utah took 2nd in the 3D in Youth at SOBRA last weekend. Utah is no easy horse to ride, and she has worked tirelessly to find his maximum potential, as well as hers, and my goodness they did not disappoint last weekend. Her riding was nothing short of professional. On top of it she’s such a kind and humble person…just the kind of kid this barrel racing industry needs! She’s come such a long way and I’m incredibly proud, so I got her a “Most Improved of Rogue Horse Training 2025” trophy to celebrate her hard work. Keep it up, Scout!!

We have some exceptional news about Rambo. After a detrimentally incorrect diagnosis from one of the most well regarded University veterinary hospitals in the Country, we have sought more answers as I could not believe that their opinions were correct. What I am here to say, is- never stop fighting for something that is important to you!! Rambo has been to many different vets now who ALL have disagreed with the University vet. As I needed concrete proof, not more opinions- we finally have undergone massively extensive imaging by a well regarded clinic in Southern California to find that he has some very treatable injuries which have no genetic factor at all. His pigeon fever scarring is also extremely problematic as it has affected the way he can use his hind end. But our hopes are that in time he will heal more and more. As of now, he is back “on the market” at stud, and he should be back under saddle within a couple months. I’m not sure about any late-year futurity plans as of now, only due to the pigeon fever inflammation, but you can bet we sure will give it our all! Thank you for standing by us, supporting us, and of course believing in this exceptional animal! I can’t explain the weight lifted off my chest as I share this news. 😃🐎

I have a couple lesson spots opening up in April due to students moving 😢 I specialize in students who are driven to become equestrian athletes- specifically barrel racers. But, I’m happy to work with any aspiring western rider! Pictured is Gabby, on a 2yr old filly. Gabby is working towards her first horse. She’s been learning how to train young horses in preparation to deal with all the things that owning a horse comes with. I have lesson horses of all ages and disciplines, and have a great low-key atmosphere where we have a lot of fun! Message me if interested 😊

As a trainer, it’s vital to know your strengths and weaknesses. And to have someone who you can count on to help you through your weaknesses. You’re kidding yourself if you think you are a “pro” at every single aspect of training a horse. Getting through each step, and excelling at each step are vastly different. My “weakness” is dealing with naturally fearful horses. I don’t love c**t starting in general, but c**t starting on one that is scared of “the world” is really not my cup of tea. Can I get through it? Yea, of course. But I find myself frustrated more often than not, and that’s of no benefit to the horse. It’s not their fault they’re scared. Luckily I can reach out to my good friend Tracey Sewell to tag team some horses with me. We have worked together extensively in the past on many horses and she’s just incredible. Just three weeks ago this horse was so scared he was dangerous. And I raised him! He was just like this. Nothing I did differently raising him as any of my others. I got him broke to ride but he was unpredictable and would spiral out of control quickly when he became scared. He’s been with Tracey for a week and a half, he’s EXTREMELY broke already, soft in the face, trail riding alone, desensitized to all sorts of things. I am beyond amazed and highly recommend her for any sort of training but especially c**ts and horses needing a confidence boost. She’s located in Eagle Point and has a clean, safe facility and feeds top notch hay and supplements. And even though she’s a close friend and I trust her immensely, i still get daily videos of the rides. Really incredible. Hit her up if you’re interested! Can’t wait to get this c**t home soon and start enjoying him.

Scout is KICKING BUTT on barrels!! We practiced timing and placement of her turns today. The exciting thing is, she still has room to improve but is already placing very well at her races! Her and Utah have come a very long way today. Good job, Scout, I’m so proud!!

I have a couple lesson spots open!
My students have a ton of fun and learn everything about horses, including western riding with a barrel racing focus. Lessons are once-twice a week. Lesson horses and tack all included, just bring your boots and helmet! Open to ALL ages! My students are typically very long term, and dedicated, which is so fun for me to help bring along. Located in Gold Hill, OR.

SOLD!
Seventh House AKA “Cisco” is a 4 yr old (2020), 16.2hh gorgeous dark bay Thoroughbred gelding, registered through The Jockey Club.
Cisco is well broke, sound, has no vices, and is ready to be finished in your desired discipline. He knows all gaits, goes English, Western, or even ba****ck. He collects, is light mouthed, neck reins, and is easy to ride. He has been on trail rides and is not spooky. Happy to ride on his own or with others. No herd bound or barn sour behavior, no bucking, rearing, etc.
Cisco has very promising potential as a jumper or dressage horse. He has lofty movement, with substantial power and the scope for jumping. He is careful with his footwork, and has natural cadence. He would probably really enjoy eventing!
Cisco could also perform as a western horse, but he will not sell to a barrel racing home as he does not have the mind or conformation for it.
He would be best suited for an intermediate rider with trainer, or an advanced rider, to unleash his full potential. He will be safe with a beginner rider, though. He will even tolerate child shenanigans such as drill team practice!
Cisco has a very kind, willing and sweet demeanor. He wants to be everyone’s best friend. He learns things very quickly as long as he has a quiet, educated rider. He is sensitive and very in tune with his persons’ attitude. He has pulled back when tied a few times, although not often, and not for many many months. He seems to be happiest with a blocker tie ring.
He is very sound, has front shoes but also has gone barefoot, and has no known issues. No history of colic or injuries. PPE always welcome at buyers expense. I don’t have any reason to believe he wouldn’t pass with flying colors.
Cisco is located in Gold Hill, Oregon and is we are asking 8️⃣5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣💵

Cisco has a very kind, willing and sweet demeanor. He wants to be everyone’s best friend. But he does require someone with tact and patience with his training. He does get overwhelmed if he has a rider that pushes him too hard. That being said, he learns things very quickly as long as he has a quiet, educated rider. He has pulled back when tied a few times, although not often. He seems to be happiest with a blocker tie ring. He has bite and scratch marks on him currently from being too friendly in the herd-these will heal up and be unnoticeable. He loves being with his friends but thinks everyone should love him.
He is very sound, has front shoes but also has gone barefoot, and has no known issues. No history of colic or injuries. PPE always welcome at buyers expense. I don’t have any reason to believe he wouldn’t pass with flying colors.
