Mom is so bad about posting! She hasn't told anyone how good I'm getting at being good. I almost never counter surf or hump pillows anymore. I haven't torn any flesh off my peeps in a while, though I did give Mom a black eye when I gave her a love bump with my nose. Here I am at Christmas with my first plush toy! I loved it. It took me three play sessions to destroy it.

It's Jackson! Well, we finally had the talk. I decided the folks could adopt me as long as they kept the treats, toys, walks and butt scratchies coming. They were good with that, but I'm keeping both eyes on them!

Hey guys, it's Jackson! Sorry I haven't posted. I had a crazy week! Mom says I either ate something on a walk or chewed up a rubber toy that has been in my system since before I got to my new home. I'll never tell. Anyway, it made me very sick. I kept throwing up and was sad. Mom was sad. Dad was sad. I had x-rays and it showed a blockage. Luckily, I passed it on Friday! Whew! Now I'm all about treats and eating deer p**p again. I even rolled in my own p**p and had to have a bath yesterday. Mom was so happy I'm better that she let me up on the chest to look out the window. I'm working on my nose art and checking out the neighborhood. Life is good.

My peeps got me a toy for power chewers. I've almost defeated it! Here's a video Mom took before I got the first bit off of it. 🤎 They're listening to Big Band music. They listen to some weird stuff for their age.

It's Jackson and I'm snuggled in for the night. I've been thinking about "the lady" and her husband and wondering how they're doing. I am grateful for the love they gave me when I was with them, and I hope they are doing well in whatever realm they're in. Their love and care meant a lot to me. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be happy with my new peeps, but I will always have them in my heart. Night night.

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3... Jackson here! Sorry I've been radio silent the past week. It's been a busy week of testing. Mom says Sunday is a day of rest, but I like it as a day of test!! Actually, I've been a pretty good boy now that I know there are certain things I shouldn't do. Who knew counter surfing was a bad thing? I've been freaking out people and animals on my walks with my crazy fisher cat scream. I sure love my toys and treats, and spending time with my peeps. Okay, time for a snooze. Over and out! Zzzzzzz

I'm a grabber, I'm a nabber, I'm a midnight blabber... Jackson here. I'm not a midnight blabber, it just sounded good. I do make a great fisher cat noise when I see other dogs. It freaks everyone out, which is kinda cool. I'm loving my walks and my toys, although the toys seem to disappear when I get bits off of them. My record so far in a day is three destroyed. Mom and Dad practice getting my commands down. They're getting better at it. I just need to be patient with them. My favorite is when I grab something I shouldn't and I get a trade for it. Off for a bit of crate time! More later.

Jackson here in my new home with my new peeps. This is me this morning being pretty good. Last night when we got here, they said I was a hellion. We didn't get pictures cuz I didn't want to stay still after so long in the car. I pulled a good one and ran my head into my new mom's wine glass. It went all down the front of her. She laughed, but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't try that one again. So far I'm liking things pretty well here. They like me a bunch too. More later!

Jackson has gone through a lot during his short life. He spent the first 16 months of his life on a heavy chain and collar outside. He was then seized by the authorities and ended up in a shelter. We placed him in a home but realized we didn’t know enough about him at that point and it wasn’t a good fit. We then had him go to a trainer, who has helped us previously, for a month of board and train, where he did great. From there he went to what was suppose to be his permanent home, he was thriving. Sadly, the woman who he was with Gail McGaha ended up getting COVID and yesterday passed away shortly after being told that Jackson was on his way to his new home and was going to be okay. Last week, when we learned that Gail was in the hospital, we began looking for a new home for Jackson. Along came Tamara and Larry, they lost their bull terrier Devo in September of 2021 and were ready to open their home and hearts to another bull terrier. Yesterday, Jackson began his two day journey to his new home. Today he continued his journey where he finally met his new pawrents. We are hopeful that he has finally found his home and family. Special thanks to James Little for getting Jackson from Gail’s husband John yesterday and driving the first leg, Dave Keating and Lori Ross Keating and Marta Natasza Kozlowska for taking the time to do part of the transport yesterday, Paula Angiulo Shaw for getting him from Marta, having him sleep at her house last night and driving him another few hours today, Diane Metcalf and Lynn Pinkham, mom to Blue Ridge alumnus, Ivan the Terribully Handsome Boy - Adopted, for driving today and Tami and Larry for driving some and bringing Jackson home.

So many RULES. Inside rules. Outside rules. Why? I am trying to learn them all. No nipping, no jumping, no counter surfing, no attacking the vacuum robot, no barking at people, no pulling on the leash. My most un-favorite rule – LEAVE IT. The “it” is always something I want really bad. But LEAVE IT has big consequences so I leave it alone.
