Daisy is in our Gold Obedience training program and just finished her second session today! She’s a smart pup who already knows most of her commands, but like many dogs, she’s still learning to listen when treats AREN’T in the mix.

Today’s lesson focused on sit/stay and improving her impulse control, and she’s making great progress! Consistency, patience, and practice are key, and Daisy is well on her way to becoming a well-behaved superstar.

Tonight, I had the privilege of training an 11-week-old puppy for an incredible 8-year-old boy who was born blind. During the session, he shared with me that he has surgery tomorrow and told me the only thing he was nervous about was the IV—not the surgery itself. His courage and outlook truly humbled me and reminded me of the strength and resilience we often take for granted. This is why we train dogs: to create partnerships that bring comfort, joy, and empowerment to those who need it most. Seeing the potential in his puppy to grow into a loyal companion was inspiring and a reminder of how much these dogs can change lives.
