Leash work in containers matters. This colorful, cluttered container search assists the handler in really noting how the leash’s current length is important. No cone or box was to be disturbed.
Handler position,in relationship to the dog and the environment being search is so valuable to note, so we don’t interfere was the dog’s work. There were 3 hides.

Tuesday Containers class. Working on line handling and being mindful of how our movements and proximity to, our dog and objects, affects them. Building resilience in the dogs to be able to work through our imperfections.

Not only are the handlers working on their leash handling skill in this exercise, but the dogs are needing to work at a distance from the handlers as well. Well done Deb and Katie.

Tuesday’s Containers, Containers, Containers class today heard me say, “You all earned..” and they thought, ICE CREAM!!!
Sorry, I informed them, they had earned a leash handling exercise😁
The handlers needed to stay on the opposite side of the obstacle from their dog and not knock anything down😁 Yep, that seriously was my criteria. The rest of the handling to follow next week.
Here Jennifer and Ember did a real nice job.
