Great 2 days of containers workshops this past weekend. Lots of searches and lots of learning by dogs and humans. Now on to the next one!

January 25, 2025 Leash Handling with an emphasis on containers and crowded interior search areas. Exercises designed to assist handlers in understanding what affects dogs ability to search successfully. Where the handler is in relationship to their dog and the search environment matters. We will also explore controlling the search, freedom searches when to do what and how that affects your dog. And more!

January 26, 2025 Handler’s Choice. Here the handler decides what they want to do for their runs. The only limit is that it needs to be inside😁 (containers, communication, competition, distractions and how to overcome them, leash handling, etc. It’s your choice!)

Leash work in containers matters. This colorful, cluttered container search assists the handler in really noting how the leash’s current length is important. No cone or box was to be disturbed.
Handler position,in relationship to the dog and the environment being search is so valuable to note, so we don’t interfere was the dog’s work. There were 3 hides.
