18 chimpanzees who could have enjoyed sanctuary life have died waiting for their chance to leave a New Mexico laboratory. Meanwhile, 26 chimpanzees continue to languish at the lab because the National Institutes of Health (NIH) STILL refuses to move them to sanctuary. 😡

This , join us in demanding that the NIH retire the remaining 26 chimpanzees to Chimp Haven sanctuary before it’s too late!

Okay guys! I met this baby. He’s going to be 2 in a week. Not a typical rescue, but my rescues never are😊 he lives in this dark stall. Never gets out or worked with. He is even papered. After I met him. I walked to my car and wept for 10 minutes. The thought of him standing day after day weeks after week hour after hour doing nothing, but eating at meal time. Is breaking my heart. This boy hasn’t even got to start his life yet. Of course the owner wants to sell him. Which in my opinion will be a rescue!! I’m out of town, I will be home next week. I can’t get him off my mind!! Lots of updates!! Let’s start with Dixie! Spoke with her new owners and she’s doing wonderful! Everybody loves her and she’s started working with her therapy girls!! We couldn’t be happier! Opie is on a 30 day trial! And all is fabulous! They are totally in love with him…. He is such a special horse… Taz aka horse on a rope. We moved him because of unforeseen circumstances, to a secluded facility. Ty to the Mustin family! He will be leaving soon to his forever home next week. Thank you all for your on going support.. For the loves of horses!! 😊💕🐴

As most know! We’ve downsized the rescue to pay off vet bills and then start over, we were not planning on taking anymore for awhile so we could build our funds. We’ve been working on convincing the owner of the horse on a rope to let him come to us for many months. He continued to say no . Until yesterday, he contacted me. He is going to want compensation to free him . Argh!! We need help. Not only for his freedom but for castration , dental and farrier. Please in this venture. Just 20 bucks can add up and help! Even though they are federally protected as endangered species in the U.S. and Canada, and listed as endangered in Washington state, this listing means that Oregon will develop a management plan and concrete actions to help address the struggles of this population and it also means that even more resources will be directed to helping them survive.

The National Park Service just announced that it no longer intends to remove the entire wild horse herd from Theodore Roosevelt National Park, but that's not good enough. The Service wants way too few horses to remain, not the several hundred who currently call the park home.

Update on Toro! Plenty of funds have been raised for care. Ty to all who donated 😊 situation is touch and go. It seems to me this baby was in fight or flight mode for awhile. It seems he needs rest now. He’s severely dehydrated, foster mom Alyssa is doing a great job. Having his blood check to see how his organs are functioning today. Hopes are high for full recovery.

For those of you that know Dixie’s story! A new chapter has begun for her. She’s at her new home today! 😊🐴💕 she is with a lovely lady that does therapy for girls that have been victims of s*x trafficking. I know Dixie will do great with these girls, showing them love and patience! We wish her well in her new forever home!
