Even though I only get to see Max once a year after his board and train two years ago, our friendship remains as strong as ever. 🫶🏼

To think just two short weeks ago Sera had little to no interest in interacting with me. Even in the lowest stimulating environment I could create, she wouldn’t make eye contact with me longer than a split second before searching for something to spark her interest.

Training isn’t always a walk in the park but it’s always the dogs that challenge me to think outside of the box to figure them out that are by far my favorite dogs to work with.

We still have a long ways to go but making sure to celebrate each milestone & to remind myself of where we started is a crucial key to both of our success. I couldn’t be more proud of my sweet, spunky Sera girl. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with her & learn myself throughout the process. 🩵

Say hi to one of our new students, Collins. 👋🏻This sweet boy was lucky enough to get pulled from a local rescue & was paired with loving owners who are committed to making sure he adjusts well in his new home.

We aren’t exactly sure what his back story entails but it’s been pretty clear that he hasn’t had much leash training if any at all due to his initial reaction to leash pressure of biting the leash, fighting, and frailing around. Luckily, Collins has a good temperament and is eager to please so it hasn’t been as severe as some dogs but is still a problem nonetheless.

Our main goals with Collins training is to set him up for success when taking walks throughout the neighborhood, instill door manners to prevent him from rushing through the door as they’ve already had a mishap occur, & kennel train him to keep him from getting into things while unsupervised and in order for him to board with me in the future.

We’ve got some work ahead of us but he’s been a pleasure to work with so far. I’m excited to get him to where his parents need him to be. 😁

Take me out to the ball game 🥎

No better place to work on socialization with an over excited pup than the ball field. I couldn’t be more proud of all the progress Bentley made from his first outing to his last with me.

This sweet boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body but between leash pulling, jumping when greeting people, whining & barking at other dogs, he was a handful to say the least. Seeing him begin to default into a sit when people came up to pet him, learning how to relax in high energy environments, & not reacting to dogs barking at him was such an awesome feeling. 🤩

Posting for a friend located in North Hsv:

Due to no fault of their own, Sasha & Ava are in need of a new home. Sasha is a 4 yr old Aussie/Lab mix. Ava is an English Creme Golden Retriever who is coming up on 3 years old.

Both girls are crate trained, house trained, & are good with children. When they stayed with me for a few weeks, they did very well with my dogs as well. These two girls have extremely sweet demeanors to them & it would mean the world to their owners to find a loving home just as to the one they’ve been raised in.

Homemade dog treats are back on the table 😋

I’ve yet to find a dog who has turned down my yummy Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Treats. 🎃 Whether you’re looking for a daily treat or celebrating your pup’s birthday/gotcha day, your dog(s) are sure to enjoy these scrumptious treats!

I’ve also started making my own Dehydrated Cheese Chews that have been a 💥hit💥with my personal dogs.

•Big Bone Birthday Cake w/ Peanut Butter Topping & Cake box🎂 -$25
•Dehydrated Cheese Chews🧀 - $20 per batch

These will all be made to order to ensure quality as my Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Treats need to be refrigerated & should be consumed within 4-5 days or frozen once home. Dehydrated Cheese Chews take 24 hours to prepare but have a much longer shelf life when stored in an air tight container.

If you’re able to find someone that looks at you the way Rowdy looks at me, you need to hold on to them. 🥰

I spent the last week hanging out with this sweet little boy building a relationship & showing him that he can trust new people. Rowdy exhibits a lot of insecurities & anxiety that results in him making poor decisions. His behavior has led to tension in the home when having guest over. We weren’t getting very far with in-home classes due to his attachment with his owner & his mistrust with new people in the home. Therefore, we decided to test out a short staycation with me for us to get to know one another better; which also allowed me to get a better perspective of his behaviors.

After a week of staying with me, I’m now confident in the bond we created which will hopefully prevent him from nipping me again in the future. During our time together we were able to work on creating boundaries when it comes to his attachment tendencies. By doing so we’re taking the first steps to mitigating Rowdy’s anxiety & the stress it puts on his owners.

Even though our time together was short, I was a little sad when it was time for him to go back home. However, his home is the only place that he exhibits reactivity. I’m excited to see how our future in-home classes play out. 🩵

Training sessions don’t always have to look like running through commands or socializing in public. Sometimes training sessions can consist of simply enjoying your morning coffee in the car vs. the porch. In order to begin reconditioning anxious mindsets, we can simply normalize triggers in small doses throughout our normal routine. We don’t have to go anywhere nor do we have to ask any thing of our dog. Anxious behaviors won’t dissipate overnight & some dogs will progress at different speeds, which is perfectly normal. This is just some food for thought to encourage those of you who own anxious dogs to find little training moments throughout your day. 🙂

George has been working extremely hard this week as we’ve been introducing him to luring & implementing impulse control. Little man was FIESTY this morning when I first showed up but after redirecting his attention into training exercises, he was wore out after our 30-minute session as you can tell by the last two photos. 😆

My sweet Bella Bug goes home today. Even though I’m eager for her owners to see all the progress she has made these last few weeks, I am going to thoroughly miss spending my days with her sweet, goofy self. Turnover days are always bittersweet for me. 🥹🫶🏼
